this weekend for us. i have 3, BIL has 4 so we'll do the 7 kid tour and somehow try to stay sane and enjoy it. my boy is about 3 months from 3yrs, so he's not always the easy guy to handle.
that's cool, my boy never lets me alone when I'm in the garage with the tools. but he's not ready for that yet. i actually built up a work shop in the garage for him to learn about stuff. he's obsessed with tools and monster trucks, so I'm guessing when he's ready to focus in he can just take off.

my daughter is 4 and she wants to do everything I do. My boy is 2 and he is interested sometimes. I think 3-4 is a magic age.

that was a tough age for my older daughter, but she's got her own rhythm. the boy seems more typical in terms of development. I'm encouraged, thanks. he's not been a pleasure this last year or so.

Son (15) and I went to get haircuts. Then we came back and played with his new Oculus. Much more tiring than I would have expected.

A man told me before I had kids "when your kids are little your to busy to spend time with them, when their grown they're to busy to spend time with you". Truth.

I didn't get married until I was 35, we have a 7 year old son and 4 year old daughter. I was an alcoholic most of my 20's and 30's. When my wife got pregnant with our son I decided if he grows up to be an alcoholic he wasn't going to learn it from his dad like I did from mine so I quit cold turkey, celebrated 8 years of sobriety this past Sunday.

Kids are awesome! Our son wants to be like me so bad, I tell him I want to be like him when I grow up and he looks at me funny. He has the biggest heart of anybody I know.

Sometimes I bring him to work with me, he loves it!

That's awesome man! You definitely give some things up when it comes to your kids/family. Or, I'll at least evaluate certain situations/things I used to do without hesitation. Example: I would go up in a deer stand without a harness a lot of times, just because I forgot or out of pure laziness. Now, I tell myself that would be a stupid way to leave this world and my kids fatherless, just because I didn't want to wear a harness. Never gave it much thought until I had kids.

You are 100% correct about that! Time for a ground blind and take them with you, lol.

I just got over the flu. Now the whole family has it. Playing Dr. Dad and trying to take care of all of them.

We have been empty nesters for 20yrs, since our son went off to college. He is now 40 and has his own family. My wife and I get to watch our 8 year old grandson often. We had a sleep over last night to help give his mom a break, he helped me with xmas lights and made scones and cookies with his grandmother.

This morning its sponge bob, the chipmunks, hot wheels and pancakes before heading out for his last basketball game of the season. This is one of the great things about being a grand parent. We get to spoil the crap out of him then send him home to his parents, lol

Same here. I was a drunk for several years but put it all down one day so my gal would marry me. My kid, although a cocky smart mouth, is the best thing to happen to us. He packed up for the city life 4 years ago (college) but is always thankful to come home on his breaks. We have very few hobbies in common yet we are still best friends.

Went to church for the Christmas program. Preacher called all the kids down front for a talk, that’s our little girl sitting beside him in front of about 500 people. Our son wanted me to go with him and we sat on stage several feet away. That’s him in the blue shirt beside me in the white one.
