This worked for me, as well - thank you GFF taco! My problem started when a friend connected their phone. I think it must have pushed the number of registered devices above the unit's maximum. With GFF Taco's method, I was able to start out fresh, no registered devices.

Old thread but thanks a ton and love the forum. Son had to move his stuff home from college so he borrowed my truck. He called me and said he can't connect to Bluetooth. When he got home it would not work. I figured I was screwed. The Bluetooth would not even come off gray. I tried to repair and got the waiting on Bluetooth forever. Above worked like a charm

Wanted to clarify some things, that were not obvious to me, about this explanation:

When you turn your headlights on and off when doing this, you have to turn them ALL THE WAY ON AND ALL THE WAY OFF, three times. Meaning turn the dial as far as it'll go down, and then as far as it'll go up.

If you just tap the INT button when you make it into the menu, it won't do anything. You have to hold it for a moment until the prompt pops up.

Just thought I'd specify in case someone else out there has a slow brain like me.

Worked great! Though I would add that you may need to long press the INT button for the Yes/No option to appear. Many thanks GFF Taco!

Whoa this fix from answer 15 seemed a little over the top and it took a few attempts to get to that screen but once there I followed the instructions he laid out and boom! BT working again. Thanks GFF Taco

Just bumping this up as I was unable to load spotify via bluetooth all of a sudden. Got the dreaded Please wait when under bluetooth.

I happened across this thread, but for my headunit on my 2013 ,I had to hold my SETUP ( vs APP) button then do the lights three times. Issue I am running into is, when I hold the INIT button, I dont get the yes or no option. Any thoughts on what I may be doing wrong.
