What do you have OR, SPORT, SR5/Base, or X-runner

I started this at ToyotaNation...Figure not everyone was in both places and I should do it here as well.

I have the Off Road Tacoma and I am starting to think I made a mistake and should have gone with the Sport. Still happy though. Just like the color matched accents. Although I also like the contrast the chrome gives.

Wait who knows., if I would have gotten the SPORT I would be saying the same thing about the OR...

So what do you have... Let's get a GOOD COUNT.

What about the TSS guys? I know, there aren't many of us.

 

I have the 4x4 DC. Figured I would lift it and change the rims and tires so why get the nicer looking rims and pay more to take them off. I didn't really need the directional and fuel consumpiton gadgets, I just use my fuel gauge and the sun.

 

BASE model here, not even SR5.

I never use the rear slider on my past trucks, I'm already used to no power windows and no intermittent wipers, so I saved some $$ and went with the base. Only thing I wish I had were fog lights... those plastic covers look ugly.

 

Arent all tacomas sr5's? I have a 5lug, and when i got my insurance cards it said sr5. I called to correct this and they told me all are sr5.

 

You can get a taco without the SR5 package, I have the SR5 package number 2 I believe.

Mine is an '08 DC 4x4 auto base model. But DCs are not as "base" as other cab configurations, at least '08s anyway. Mine came with standard power windows/mirrors/locks, SR5 seats, and air. I want to say there's one other thing but can't remember what it is. I have no slider. I have steel wheels with 245s, and black bumpers/fender flares. I like it this way though.

 

AAA listed mine as 1/2 ton or less pickup... I say it's a half ton of love

 

Sport Here!! Mine weighed 4650 with me in it the other day.

 

That DC long bed doesn't weight as much as I thought. I ran the scale with my Ext. V6 4x4 at 4420 Lbs, almost full tank of gas (40Mi's worth) and myself.
It must be the blue paint that weighs so much!

 

2008 base 4x4 reg cab with bench seat.
installed a set of fj cruiser take off rims with 265-75R-16 tires. Also installed factory cruise, intermittent wipers, hood protector and bed extender. Next mod will be skid plate and driving lights.

the ones you see with flat black bumpers/flares dont have sr5 packages.

i got a sport, my last 5 trucks or so have been 4wd and hardly ever used, this is my first prerunner

 

Base SR5 4wd.... but NO fog lights, that pisses me off!

 

TRD Sport...

 

I got the TRD sport. I gotta admit the hoodscoop was a bit of a factor in this choice too. I just wish it was functional.

 

TRD Off Road.

I was looking to Off Road, I wanted a TRD, perfect fit.
