What easy mods should I consider for my truck? (pics)

So I think I've come to the conclusion that I'd like to mod as funds allow. Given the vast amount of knowledge on this board, and my comparative lack of knowledge on the subject I figured I'd ask you guys.

If you had my truck, what would be the first 3 mods you did?

Also, I'll take this opportunity to show why you NEVER let a dealer "detail" your car. This was my own detail job using the 2 bucket method, foam gun, leaf blower dry, then 2 coats of AMMO Skin sealant (even to the lights). With all of that washing and rubbing, there still isn't a single swirl or scratch. If you let a dealer "detail" your truck it will never have the opportunity to look blemish free unless you take it to a professional to be polished out.

Oh, also wanted to ask. Are the TRD stickers easy to get ahold of?

I think the truck would look a lot cleaner without them, but if I change my mind I'd like to reapply them if that's an option.

Nice truck. First thing I'd do personally is get some weathertech liners while the carpet is still clean and then probably delete the badges.

Ha! I am already waiting on my weathertech mats. :D

When you say badge delete, you're talking about the stickers and the actual toyota badges? I'd be interested in seeing a picture of what that looked like.

If you have some money I'd say lift, wheels and new tires. It can get pricey but it will look sick!! I think sockmonkey is still around and he makes custom TRD bedside decals that you can buy from him. The truck does look pretty clean though without them. If you decide to take the TRD decal off you might want to think about debadging the entire truck too. ;)

Look at getting your windows tinted. I have equipment in my truck that I would hate to get stolen, and my tint makes it a lot harder for people to see what I have in my truck. Being from the ATL area, you know that car break-ins are a big issue. It also looks pretty sweet! I think it would really nice on your truck too. You could also paint your wheels if that's something you are into.

Yeah I plan to get 35% on the fronts to match the back. Crime where I am (Johns Creek) is almost non existent, so it would be mainly for looks and driving comfort.

I do want to plasti-dip the wheels at some point...Thinking black?

The actual chrome badges. There are a few pics around. All it takes is a heat gun, some fishing line and a little Goo Gone.

Nice looking truck! I have the exact same one on order, can't wait until it gets here. I already ordered mats for it but I got the Aries 3D - they got good reviews and appear a little more "refined" than the industrial looking WeatherTechs and I don't plan to do a lot of heavy off-roading so the protection they give should be fine for my needs. I also ordered the Selex center console and glove box organizers. I plan to get a OEM bedliner when I pick the truck up. Also planning to tint the windows, debadge the tail gate, and trim the huge mudflaps. Once i've had a chance to drive the truck for a while I will consider some performance upgrades and possibe stereo upgrades.

Does Aries make Tacoma specific floor mats now?

Also do you have a link to those organizers? I'm an organization fanatic.

Nice truck... I would say De-badge.. Take off the Toyota Emblems and Tacoma Emblems ect... Tint windows, Nightshade Tail lights, Paint or plastidip your wheels.. I did all that on mine..(yes mine is a superwhite) but i think all that will look good on your truck and all are pretty easy to do yourself.. (except tint.. get someone to do that) Ive done all these on mine and love the look (click on my signature to my build).. Also if your willing to get risky, do the BHLM.. lots have done this with great success but you have to take your time.. Its your truck Have fun with it... Also check out the Mod section.. there are plenty ideas... as long as your wallet will allow...

If I were on a budget, I would probably dip the wheels and badges, and maybe do the black headlight mod. If no budget, lift, wheels and tires. Or a tonneau or shell, depending on use. And tint would be a must.

Tint the windows and get rid of the stickers. I took some of my badges off and didn't use a heat gun. Although I did it on hot Kansas day in the sun when it was 100 out and cut off with fishing line. Had to use Goo Gone three different times to get off the smears left by the stickers. Those came off real easy by the way, just pulled them off.

According to the Aries and RealTruck websites they do make current mats for the Tacoma - I'll post picks and a quick review when I get the truck.

Salexorganizers.com is the product website but you can also find them on Amazon as well. Do a search on TW and you will find plenty of pics of them in use.

Matching tint will look good. Black would be the way to go for your rims.

Have you thought about doing a Satoshi or a Grillcraft?

tires are always a game changer and always first on my list, but i would need to have a lot of extra cash to justify replacing brand new ones.

removing mud flaps is another cost effective one. . . . as long as you don't mind being that guy in the rain making it slightly difficult for others to see.

i prefer running no swaybar, but may not be for everyone.

my lift was 700$, relatively cheap considering the benefits and quality of parts. add 120 for the front diff bearing replacement. those numbers are parts only as i do labor myself. it is easy.

all i can think of aside from whats already been said as that is the only work i have allowed myself to do to it

This if you plan on moving anything around in the bed or the ImMryo rearview mirror bracket to move it higher out of your line of sight.
