Garage sale hand me down specials, nike cross trainers & a mt bike glove. Fuck the hole..........yes that was a pun.........it's all about how many houses you can hit or how many other golfers on other holes you can scare with your super sliceability. Golf is all about the fun, if I had a chance in hell of making money at it then I might take it seriously.

Good luck!!!! IMO, golf clubs are the HARDEST purchase one may make. Especially if your a beginner like me.

I choose Ping, because that's what irons I like. I was dead set in getting Callaways, but the irons just didn't feel right for me.

I have shot between 86-92 for the past few years.. I dont have an 8 iron, and my clubs are gettin old, im losing the feel from them.. So I'm hoping new clubs will improve the game and my confidence.. help me drop my score to 80-85

If you are going to GolfSmith have them wire you up and analyze your swing, paying particular attention to the launch angle, spin rate and swing speed. Purchase irons that feel good and compliment your individual swing idiosyncrasies. :)

Try some Ping G5s or the new G10. I shot pings a good 10 yards further per iron than callaways or TM. Maybe it was just in my head, yeah it probaby was just in my head. BUT, isn't that golf?

DON'T rush into getting a new set. What's good for me isn't good for you. I took lessons from a golf pro, and I asked him which ones to get. He said, "get game improvements and if you can't decide between a couple different sets, get the one that looks pretty." It's a Fn mind game!

My opinion one one of many you will read but I feel that I can speak on this topic do to carrying a 0 handicap and playing on the AF golf team during my career... PING is the best iron you can buy. Their customer service is beyond reproach, I have played their product for at least 20 years.

If I were to buy new Iron's they would be Taylor Made. Cleveland make some of the best wedges. I have a Cleveland lob wedge (60) and it is awesome!

I've got some old school Titleist Acushnet irons, and surprisingly enough they get the job done quite well.

Glad to see somebody else loving the Pings! They don't get nearly the publicity they deserve. TM, Callaway, Nike, Titlest, and others seem like they spend tons on advertisements and buying the best players. And, it works!!!

    Try some Pings out!

Kvnhlstd - What's the the rest of your bag? You using just Ping irons?
