Nothing - Back in the mid 80's I almost clocked someone because I didn't see them as a bandana hanging off the rear view mirror blocked my view...

I keep my sunglasses on a croakie around my rearview. It is a great spot to store them so they don't get scratched or crushed or lost!

Had my bandana hanging for years and never bothered me but then one day it did so I took mine down and have nothing. I now have a black and green spiderman lego-type figurine on top of my mirror with double sided tape.

Don't those have your SSN on them along with name and DOB? Can't remember if they still have the social on there or not. Now I'm gonna have to check mine to see, lol

    these reasons.

Get in an accident, stuff hanging from the rear view can be used against you as obstruction of view.

^^^ This... I was a teenager and my parent's house is on the same street as the (then) Fire Chief. I came close to taking him and his car right out but good. He gave me a good ass chewing which taught me to not have anything blocking my view.

Just making sure you knew in case someone wants to steal your identity or something. Stolen identity takes years to recover from. Happened to a friend of mine and it took him 7 years for everything to finally be fixed and off his credit report.

I had to buy a mirror riser from a fellow TW member just to see clearly, so nothing.

Nothing on mine. I fear I might miss a kid running into the street or some such thing if I were accustomed to the motion of something hanging from the mirror.

Nothing screams, "I am a douchebag" more than a pair of ski goggles hanging in the middle of summer

Nothing. The Socialist Republic of Kalifornia strongly discourages this practice.

Got a cross and a hula girl hanging on mine. Was pulled over for making a illegal turn last year. Was the same turn I've been making for 35yrs!
I told him everyone makes the turn, cop told me they now give tickets for it. Would not take a PBA card but said only give ma a tik for stuff hanging on my mirror. $55 yikes but no points
