..uh,..well, ..consider that the alarmists have been trying to link 40 yrs of (cough) data (w/ a "mysterious" bias for temperature measurements taken near impervious areas (i.e. paved, urban, etc), .. to describe a radical and definitive change in global climate is absurd from a perspective of statistical significance.. i.e., at best, this bunch is trying to make a hill of beans over something that is essential "in the noise floor", in terms of the earth's existance... also, recent observations that their upward trend in the 1990s has ceased, ..and is perhaps trending downward, it further evidence they jumped the shark... ...of course, this is aside from the climate-gate emails, and other suggestions as to the overarching political ideology behind pushing an untested fraud..

I'm not reading the six pages of shit that have flooded in here since my last post.

I'll just leave yous with this:

Planet's always changing. Has been for billions of years. Not gonna stop on account of us. Will we influence that change? Probably. Can we predict or control how? No. Does it matter? Not really.

For billions of years after we're gone, the planet will still be here, regardless of climate.

This entire "problem" is out of our hands. What isn't out of our hands is stopping idiotic legislation from ruining first world economies and undermining the progress of third world ones.

In the end, this is really about money. As most things are. It's not complex.

...yes, but i believe there are more nefarious reasons too, as it's an "enslavement" and designed to breach national sovereignty - i.e. control over our lives and our commerce by a cabal of ruling-class thugs...

    No.

    Yes.

Government doesn't have shit to do with it, aside from that fact that it is a bought and paid-for tool for certain interests to make gobs of money.

More or less, yeah. What I'm saying is it's not intrinsic in the gov't itself (what would the government do with a massive moneymaking scheme...nefarious things like balance the stupid fucking budget and fund social security and the VA?), it's being put in there by the people who paid for the gov't.

And make no mistake, regardless where anyone's political preferences lie, BOTH sides of the aisle are extremely bought off.

What i'm happy to see is there is more people aware of this scam. same with the walt street crap and the supposed war on terrorism...more people looking for the truth, more people know the truth and more of them discuss about it, like just now!! only 5 years ago this discussion would have been the other way around,(dont dare asking questions on the goverment actions).

well! that's giving me hope, people getting more and more awareness about all of those issues...just the walt street movement is amazing if you ask me!!

... i wouldn't conflate the "wall street" movement, i.e. "occupiers", as they call themselves, with global warming skepticism... global warming skeptics are concerned w/ protecting liberty (both economic and personal) and sovereignty from authoritarians (in gov't and science), ..wheras the occupiers (aside from being desheveled, unruly, and combative), seemingly trend towards the opposite - more gov't, more rules, more control...

well,...more like "woot" for consumer choice.. :D

personally, i've been using CFLs in my home, there are many now w/ "soft white" color temps, so some of the railing against them is based on problems that have largely been addressed since they hit the market.. LEDs have the most promise though, ..both in terms of efficiency and the fact that they put out much lower amounts of heat... incandescents are mainly "heaters", ..i.e. only about 12% of the electrical power going into them generates "visible" light, ...the rest is mainly in the infrared spectrum, basically all thermal emission, waste heat... that said, i still don't see a problem w/ having incandescents remain in the market - i'm for consumers having choice :)
