    define "correct"... ;)

... i say that the earth is a dynamic physical system that is undergoing changes continually, ..some in a high frequency, ..some at a lower frequency, ..and perhaps cyclic, ..in relation to interaction w/ extra-terrestrial systems/objects (i.e. the solar system and the sun)...

... i also say, that climate crisis is bunk, a fraud of global proportions, ..as there is no credibility in the same bunch of cooks/fraudsters who first cried "we must use the power of gov't to stop global cooling", ..to "we must use the power of gov't to stop global warming", ... to "we must use the power of gov't to stop climate change"... keep in mind this same bunch/ideology has been at it for what, 50 yrs?... 50yrs, and their predictions have NEVER come true, and IN FACT, have been REVERSED over that time period...

My point is that it would be somewhat arrogant to beleive that there is absolutely no weight in the theory of man made greenhouse gasses contributing to a warming trend globally .

I would like to agree that the " alarmist's " predictions are overblown , that would be wonderful to prove that we are not in as dire straights as some would have us believe , however , without some further reasearch I don't know that you can say for certain that there is nothing to it .

Having said all that , I would agree that this climate change phenomenon has been twisted and manipulated like all issues are by those that stand to gain from it .

...so, if you ask "are man-made carbon emmissions have some kind of effect on the atmosphere/etc.?", ...well, sure, ..i mean we all believe in newtonian physics, right, ..so i'm sure there is some kind of reaction to it.., ... but if you ask "is man-made carbon emmissions causing all the glaciers to melt, sea level to rise, temperature to rise"... and i'd say - BS - because the data DOES NOT SUPPORT it.. there is evidence that artic ice is on increase, ..miami is still above water, and temperatures have begun a cooling trend since the 1990's...

    ZERO CREDIBILITY, 100% FRAUD :D

I think we should clone Al Gore and keep putting Al Gores on the icebergs for the polar bears to feast.

in my natural resource conservation and management class we talked about this a little bit. teach said that the earth goes through hot and cold cycles i.e. everything freezing over then heating back up and melting. the earth is just starting to heat back up again causing the polar ice caps to melt. it also doesn't help that humans pollute and create smog and what not.

i am just passing along info. not an expert on the topic by any means.

the court of public opinion... i'd put more trust in meteorologists, and own perceptions, ...not the folks who make up new "professions" (i.e. "climatologist") just to try to give the cause legitmacy.. their side is totally ideological and political, ..the U.N., the IPCC, Al Gore and company, politicians, ...etc... green on the outside, ..but red on the inside ;)

... a dose of healthy skepticism would be good...

    Unfortunately.

The question no one ever answers for me is:

How do they propose we air condition the earth?

... well, ..some of these folks are so out there, ..i've even seen in magazines like popular science and the like ... of brainstorming such radical "solutions" like gigantic space-based mirrors or shades and crap to block the sun, ..or some such ridiculous crap.. some of these folks are certifiable... :D

BTW, i really hate popular science (too much global warming, climate change propoganda), ...more of a popular mechanics guy myself ;)

Decreasing sunlight exposure on the planet's surface will certainly be beneficial to plant life.

The court of public opinion ? That court is easily lobbied to believe what they are told are they not ?

Is that not entirely your arguement ?
