Actually, that's called democracy. The highspeed rail project was voted into existence by a ballot measure in 2008, several years before Brown took office.

Yes, what is wrong with people today? Blaming others for decisions made before they took office.

I suppose the only logical step is move on to the $700 billion dollar nightmare of the TARP bailout program that Obama dropped on the country. I mean, really, who signs a bill that gives out $700 BILLION without accountability or repayment terms? Oh, right. Bush signed that bill a few days before Obama was elected. My bad.

I know it was passed by ignorant people back in 08(based on false #s) but Brown was given a chance to put that on hold this year and focus on the budget deficit but chose to release the funds to start the process anyway. So yes I blame him but not him solely. As for the bail out, I blame both Bush and Obama. They were both wrong. Happy?:p

So, this may be a leap, but let's assume everyone following this thread and participating in our great expression of the First Amendment (or non-US equivalent) has a completely open mind and is willing to put their current position aside. What would you actually have to see/experience/hear to change your mind?

So, deniers: what could change your mind?

Supporters: what could change your mind?

Happier. But consider that "the ignorant people" was more than half the population of the state. For better or worse, that's democracy.
