    IMG_4050.jpg IMG_4056.jpg IMG_4052.jpg Hi everyone,
I bought a trd off-road not too long ago and am about to install a 5100 lift with an AAL. My leaf pack is not configured stock....and I don't know how to fix it. I have a single toytec 1.5" AAl but don't know what's wrong with my leaf pack. How can I fix this and install my AAL? Thanks sorry if it's a stupid question....first time

First of all, whoever did the AAL on there now has the AAL under the overload leaf and that is wrong. It should be above the overload leaf and under the 2 other leafs in your pic. But....You should be in the recall for new leafs. Go to a dealer and have them inspect your crappy 3 leaf pack with the AAL on the bottom and let them put the nice new 4 leaf 6 clip oem recall pack on and then do your AAL. Make them give you the AAL that is on there now and you can sell those if they aren't ruined from being under the overload. No way that AAL will bend the overload leaf to add arch to lift. Or if for some insane reason you aren't in recall, which is 2005-2011, then just buy someone's oem 4 leaf pack and add your AAL to that would be my suggestion...........The 3 leaf with AAL will still suck even put together right, try to get the free 4 leaf packs from recall and go from there.

Some one put a single leaf aal in wrong.
They put the aal under the overload.
I would see if you can get tsb done then put your new aal in the correct order.

Yes, recall. Go to dealer, let them order parts and go have them swap in new 4 leaf pack before doing your lift. Get info about recall from link and take with you so if the dullest tool in the shed gives you crap you have ammo. There should be no hassle and no bill for any of it.

Just noticed that the AAL on your driver side faces up even tho it's under the overload but the one on the passenger side looks to be facing down under the overload which adds more WTF to this. The person who did this should not be turning wrenches on motor vehicles.....

I agree. I am pretty confused. I'll get the new leafs and won't have to worry about it anymore.

I would try to remove those extra added leaves before bringing to the dealer or they can just blame that the parts have been tampered with and deny your claim.

The person doing this likely owns a 3rd Gen now.

Your issue is they are done wrong. And it's a good argument for them to not honor the TSB.

Please refer to build (click signature picture)
    troof.

and the leaf spring recall is only 2005-2011 anyway. so it depends on what year your truck is.
