Nothing dramatic about the video but plenty of drama surrounding the situation. Besides you might feel differently if you dropped 1-2k on a product from a company that ran out of cash.

I found it to be a nice summary of facts without all the wild speculations thrown around.

I get that, but there are tons of Tacoma owners who don't follow Pelfreybilt on their social media platforms who didn't see their post.

That vid was made to spread awareness of the situation. Hopefully Pelfrey will release a positive follow-up statement soon to clear everything up.

@Pelfreybilt - I am sorry but I just couldn't wait any longer, I requested a refund from paypal. IF you guys get your things together I will be more than happy to resend the money but until then I just can't take that risk. :fingerscrossed: I get this refund to begin with.

Came for the cliff notes, thanks. I'm also one of the people that spent money. Have tried email, DM and phone calls with no response. I just passed the ETA for delivery and saw they posted some ominous news. Subscribing for updates.

Standing here with my dick in my hand and a truck with cut bedsides and no rear bumper.

Please allow me to bitch a little.

I sold my HC swing-out rear bumper and ordered the standard high clearence rear because Michael ENSURED me they had a lot of them currently in production and it would be sent out in 2 weeks maximum.

Now its six weeks later. In that time frame ive cancelled 4 wheeling trips. I closed on my first house and have done home owner projects with a naked truck. Even bought a old rav4 to daily drive because i have no license plate lights.

Today my truck is still bumperless and i cant get a refund my own way (seriously who buys truck parts on credit?) so i have to rely on a company with horrible costumer service to somehow foot the refund when they cant even pay their staff? Wonderful. And even with a refund then what? Im sure no company makes a HC rear that fits the same as the pelfreybilt. I hope they figure it out and i get my bumper one day but even if it magically showed up today id never give another dollar to pelfreybilt.

    Guess ill go fuck myself.

People who have the foresight to have the option of a CC dispute, plus maybe a small percentage cash back. That's who.

EDIT: That is a shitty situation though. Sorry to hear that. I would likely have no problem trusting their word in that scenario

*sigh* me and a few others put our deposits down back in Jan/Feb, way past any CC dispute timeframe. I just hope it works out and I get this dual swing out bumper that we have been dreaming about for over a year. Tryin to keep the glass half full....

Most credit card companies give you 90 days or 3 months to file a claim. After that you SOL and have to work with the company you bought from.

You never know what they might do if you don't try. Credit Card companies have more ways to regain funds and the people on staff to do it than the regular person.

Maybe if you received the product that applies, but paying for something and never receiving it is different. If a credit card company says they won’t help, I’d be getting a new credit card company.

I'm not in financials or a lawyer, but it seems to me that the CC company isn't going to give you their own money to make you whole.
They will attempt a "chargeback" to retrieve the funds from the vendors account.
If that account is empty, closed, or legally locked, where is your refund to come from? o_O

when i gets to that I will see but Its been more of a challenge. Happens all the time in sites like kickstarter or indiegogo where the companies fail and never produce the product. folks end up losing the money. Its happened to me a few times.
