Actually it was getting wet on the beach first. Then it worked 4 hrs later. Then I drove home 4 hrs and washed it, and the truck died. Dealer said sand in the tank was the issue.

Second time I washed it after driving the ishi wilderness and volcanic badlands, washed it and it died, they claimed my lights caused the fault (yet they found dirt in the tank again)

Third time was Pismo Beach, went camping came back, ran 2 or so tanks of gas through it, washed it, and it died, they claimed sand again.

If you're gonna mock me folks, at least get your shit together.

I think the guy was asking about me.
Paid $400 for the dealership to find a loose ecu bus connector that wasn't seated properly- he showed me a video of literary just clicking it in.

One I never touched; however, since I had been mucking around under there I had no defensible claim of warranty for "disturbing" the assembly issue.

Did your thread have a bunch of pics that you deleted? That's the one I was wondering about.

There was only 1 pic of my techstream codes.
I had the mods delete the thread because it wasn't helpful and was turning more into a pissing contest around my integrity.

He said he was going to uninstall everything, take it to the dealership, and play dumb. He edited his posts to delete everything he had said but someone saved and quoted everything in a subsequent post.

Probably got concerned that the dealership would see it and had the thread deleted.

But hey, I just call it like I see it.

Sounds like he did the right thing and paid out of pocket

Maybe you misunderstood what playing dumb meant. Every person on this forum asks for PNP or reversible modifications for circumstances such as the one I was in.

And if you mean "by right thing", you mean I paid for a manufacturing assembly mistake that was agitated by my running a wire through the dash. That sounds right.

You may be "calling what you see" from an ivory tower my friend.

But hey, I call em like I see em too

Same thing that happened to me... Although I left mine up in case someone else has the same issue.

I don't understand why people have to go on the offensive... We gain nothing by lying and our profession have it engrained in us to be truthful...

Stop washing/dicking around with your truck. You're not doing it right.

Not doing anything I haven't done to any of my other Ford's. The bronco that I did horrid things to, is still being daily driven today.

I guess Toyota's just need a safe space. Delicate little snowflakes...
