What have you bought in the last 48 hours gun related?

Damn those are pretty good deals. I’d love to find the 556 for that I’d grab a couple boxes

 

I thought it was a good deal there is a few gun shops off the beaten path that I go to on my way down to fl and seems to be around pre-COVID prices

 

Bag riders are great! Does that sit at an angle? I can't tell. I use a Bag Bullet on my MPA, and it's great for adjusting elevation, just buy moving rifle in or out ever so slightly.

 

200rd Range boxes of 9mm for around $60 and 5.56 for $110 have been popping up around here occasionally... My hopes are elevating

 

ahh okay. I thought you had been buying up all this ammo at the crazy prices. I mean if so more power to ya but damn that would have been a ton of cash haha.

 

I haven’t seen that yet. The best 556 to be seen is 200 rounds for $150 ( green tips) I have found some deals on 9 and 22

 

I think the surplus M855 (green tip) will continue to become readily available. We haven't had the range boxes stay in stock around here, but the 20rd Winchester green tip has been consistently in stock at a few places for around $12. I know that Lake City near me has been back in full swing for a while now. It will all hopefully start circulating for everybody else too.

From the pics it looks pretty level I'll see when it comes in. Having a little angle for slight elevation adjustment would be cool though

 

I can get 150/$105 so 70 cpr for 55gr .223 pretty regularly around here again

 

Anyone have any luck with 44 mag ammo recently?

 

I think it'll float around .70/rd in most places for a few more months until inventory can build. Might take half a year or so to get below that on the regular. I still have no leads on bulk .45 round nose yet, so not everything is coming back as quickly

 

Not around SLC, but for some strange reason my LGS has an entire shelf of .454 Cassull. They don't even sell guns chambered in it at the store.

 

Yeah, its been on the shelf consistently for a few weeks now, so I think the slc locals have saturated their stockpiles enough to start getting stingy on pricing again.

 

Yeah my train of thought was that is it not as common as say 45, 38, or 9mm so it should be easier to find.... Wrong lol

 

At least for the first 6 months of pandemic buying, you were correct. When 8mm Mauser sold out everywhere, that was my coal mine canary that things were getting silly.

 

Searching around online because bored and came across some stock on Bass Pro. $22.98 per 20. Shipping on orders over $50 free. $120 for 100 rounds after tax, not bad.

The one guy locally that said he just sold out mentioned he was selling 20 round boxes for $30. I’m pretty happy to have some ammo to shoot my new pistol when it gets here next week.

Walmart score of the day! Went to the Walmart I normally avoid like the plague cause it’s filled with crackheads and homeless people. Guess I’m gonna have to start checking there more often. Not sad for $29/box

so bought a Daniel Defense 12.5 CHF 12.5 barrel a couple of months ago because it was in stock at Joe Bob Outfitters for under $300 shipped when no one else had them in stock. figured i would eventually build another ar pistol and its a fantastic barrel. well i bought another Tavor and decided no build right now and listed it on local Armslist. no bites, nada, even at less than what i paid.
so a listing popped up on Armslist for a Daniel Defense Omega X 12.0 rail in new condition dirt cheap so the wheels again started turning and i met the guy. no mounting hardware. he said he would contact DD and order the hardware, which he did. props to DD they sent it to him gratus . he also had a Noveske upper and lower receiver set on there that suffers the same fate as my barrel, languishing for weeks, unsold.
met him yesterday and told him bring the Noveske stuff. made an offer on all of it and the end result is seen here, mocked up.
