I would talk to a gunsmith or a professional to see if it’s safe to shoot modern loads through that old of a gun. I would definitely try to keep it in the best condition possible to hand it down to your kids.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Gunsmith has looked at it and said it's in full functioning order.

All my guns will be in the best condition possible. I just wish I could be around to watch when my sons fight over who gets what, when I'm dead

It was a week or two ago but I bought my first gun. I’ve had my brothers 1911 for the last 5 years at the house but he got a new Compensator for Christmas and wanted it back. I was pretty surprised how weird it felt not having anything for home defense. Welcome my new Springfield XDM .45 going to put a box through it tomorrow. The wait has been killing me.

When I'm hunting or hiking through the woods I carry two in a belt pouch for my 44mag. I would probably not need a reload or have enough time to reload but I just throw em on the belt and it don't bother me none.

That's kind of what I'm thinking. Good way to keep them handy. I've normally carried my 1911 in the woods, but I think it's time to switch to the wheel gun.

I got this yesterday. It’s huge. I wasn’t expecting it to be so big. Oh well. It’s solid.93DB0B67-6140-473F-965B-0A09CE24CBBA.jpg

Got my folding stock from Bonesteel arms and Midwest Industries hand guard this weekend. Really pleased with the stock, makes me want a side folder on everything.

I love it! The Nato length has solved all my problems with not getting proper eye relief on different optics.

I bought my first LPVO today, Nikon Black Force 100 1-6 illuminated reticle, not sure what I’m going to put it on yet, maybe the 13.7” upper I’m planning on building :notsure:
