Skinner rear peep sight for the Ruger No 1 45-70. Front sight has a brass insert, so they kindly added the brass part to the rear sight for me. I'll mount it this evening.

Holy Cow ! I just scored a home run at Walmart this morning. I didn't even know they had these; a bucket of Remington .22 caliber LR, brass shell hollow points, 1280 FPS, 36 grain. So I'm making my morning rounds today and see there is nothing on the top shelf where they keep .22 ammunition.

Nothing there so I keep walking when my man working the sporting goods department flags me down and says ey man I got .22 ammo for you. I says there was nothing on the top shelf. He says two cases of .22 bucket ammo came in last Friday and they sold out but I found one left on the bottom shelf in lockup. He says I know you like the 100 round bricks but this is 1400 rounds for 68 bucks. I says I'll take it !

New upper day!

Keyhole upper, Triarc 11.5 barrel and gas block, Lantac Dragon KM brake, Triarc BCG on order, arisaka modlite mount on order, Unity 2.26 T1 and 3x mounts in the mail. Centurion lower just hit my FFL, gonna go get it in the AM. Gonna be a sweet FBI clone with some functional deviations since its my NODs gun.

Got a couple more years of carry, I didn't have a coupon though unfortunately but gotta love Alabama. They weren't even open when I applied this morning for renewal and had a call and email an hour later (still not open) saying my license was in the mail.

About the only thing I find good at our Walmart is 22 ammo

 

I don't go there often, but when I do it's usually pretty slim pickings. The only other caliber they had was 350 Legend.

Nice, I'm getting ready to anneal my first batch. My buddy has the Annealeez and local shop has the amp for rent for a nominal fee.
