a case like that, I'd be real tempted to call the coroner too. Thieves suck, and home invaders should die. You just don't know what someone who has the temerity to break into your home, with your family inside, can do.

Big fan of a long gun for self defense, its more stable/accurate, easier to mount/use a light, and for putting someone down quick rifle>pistol calibers.

Down side is if you need a free hand and maneuvering. If you have to wrangle kids or clear a bunch of doors/rooms for some reason you need to practice with it. Trying to hold up a rifle and control someone to move with you is a chore.

Thieves do suck no doubt about it! I'n my case it was a young guy who was strung out on drugs and I recognized that through the training I had at the time and he brought a knife to a gun fight I could have dropped him right where he stood, but he choose to follow directions and suck on the end of a revolver and turn blue till the cops came. I have no regrets for doing what I did because I think living with the fact that I shot and killed the guy would have been much worse, but I will never know that.

So does Lancer not make aluminum mags anymore. I looked last night even in their website and didn’t see any. I could be thinking of a different company though. I have a few Pmags and wanted to try something different besides it would help me differentiate between the mags for different rifles.

I have nothing against pmags they are really good mags but im one of the weridos that prefer aluminum GI mags. Most of mine are from OKAY industries.

I have separate mags for range and emergency use and understand they are a maintenance item.

I might just order 3 of the OK's and see how they do. I'm sure they'll work just as good as what I have now. I guess I could mark them with a paint pen but I figured if some were plastic and some metal it would be easier to tell them apart in the dark by feel

I'm one of those weirdos too, I like aluminum mags, but stock others as well.

I just sold one of my 686's in 357.
Was at my range/lgs and heard a customer asking about one. We chatted in the parking lot and agreed on a price. Store did the transaction.

Had my Remington 700 skim bedded the other day by a local custom rifle builder. Can't wait to try it out. This group is before bedding. A little room for improvement :anonymous:

Done! I ordered 3 OK grey aluminum mags we will see how they do. I imagine they'll be fine then I'll look for one of the 10 mag package deals.

Looks like they’re going for around $850-$950 from what I’ve seen. I like it, but not something to shoot that often.
