    Checkin in, been awhile.

I have 500 rds. of 9mil. Showing up on Monday. Wifey has been getting way more range time than me. Shooting makes her happy, so I help anyway I can.

Now, she wants to get into a .22 pistol. Yay for me.

    More poor financial decisions….
11.5” to replace my current barrel, the 13.9 to build a “do all” Recce SBR, muzzle devices because they’re out of stock via distribution (also my special order guy hates me for the volume of things I special order through work), the tri-lug to run on the MP5 build once I pay it off, and the handguard is either for the Recce build or to tuck the can on the 11.5, not sure which yet.

The do all or SBR part? From my understanding the Recce rifles are lightweight rifles built to fill the roles of both SPR/DMR rifles as well as carbines by running LPVO’s and having slightly longer barrel lengths.

This upper will deviate from the traditional Recce style only in barrel length because a 16-18” barrel+can is longer than I need, I really just want another option to increase muzzle velocity without going full 16”.

Yes. That’s what it is. I just don’t recall anyone using a m4 sniper and it being useful in practice.

The oxymoron is that SBR’s don’t make good sniper rifles, specifically at terminal performance. They barely have acceptable terminal performance at CQB distances. You either need to reach out and touch someone, or you need a rifle for CQB. I don’t know anyone that hasn’t come to that same conclusion that’s worked in a similar role.

For fun however…one can do whatever they want. I’m just saying really a recce is underwhelming.

Just sent it on a Rex Silentium custom 8 baffle .30 cal suppressor. Will live on my .300blk pistol and get whored out to my 5.56 gun occasionally. Black Friday deal was just too good to pass up. First NFA item for me also!

My 500 rds. 9mm Showed up early. Was expecting them on Monday. I guess fedex was speeding across the country. The free Glock backpack that came with the order seems alright as well. The holster in the front is fully adjustable.

Was an interesting trip. There was a group of about 10-12 young guys (20's) there. Obviously new shooters. They were renting a couple of AR's and a couple of 9mm pistols. They were obviously excited/amazed at the firearms available. One of the RO's/Instructors actually accompanied them into the bay and provided some basic instruction, safety, etc. Fun to watch new shooters have fun. When I left I saw 3 vehicles with NY tags. I'm guessing it was them.
