$194 for this today at a gun show. Not great but I'll feel better blasting this through my AK than my M855 stash.

 

i use those from ebay too. cheap, quick ship, and seem to do what they are supposed to.

This one is a keeper, I doubt I will find another one this vintage reasonably priced. And every one needs at least one lever gun, and as a bonus it will take a NATO caliber.

 

I forget the model of rifle was being discussed but remember the picture. My B-I-L has one that's been in the family since new, pretty sure before me or him were born. Nice rifle, 243 Winchester, I made a bunch of rounds for it, tuned to near perfection.

 

Last of the mods for now showed up this morning, XLA pivot model bipod I ordered off Amazon Thursday morning. Also picked up a strap from cabela’s, they’re all outta black so it’ll have to do.



this is probably going to be it for this rifle, I might buy a Boyd’s someday but my mousepad and foam tap / duct tape cheek riser is doing a great job. Had an easy time finding the center of the target yesterday prone shooting in the snow.

Anyone need some decent scope rings? About to post in the bst thread but they are Vortex precision match rings 34mm 1.45 height. Perfect for 50mm obj lens with flat top ar style handguard. I just need to go a hair taller to clear a sunshade on my 56mm obj
