I don't now if that's true but all my other glocks I own don't have that. I should had asked in my last glock armors school. The bottom metal piece reminds me of a 911 and served no purpose. When the gas expands just like a cut on the top slides would reduce recoil imo. Why would glock spend more money into extending that portion with metal versus plastic like every other glock?

    going to be fun!
Could be a weep hole....Oh and please note, that hole does NOT say " OIL " next to it, so don't be oiling the interior of the slide; I wouldn't even mention it, except that I have actually seen this done......

If you've taken the Glock Armorors Course, it should be in your book or covered by your instructor...it was when I took the course in Smyrna

Certain long slide models such as the 34, 35, 41, 48 etc have it because the slides are longer than the frame. The 34 and 35 use a 17 or 22 frame, the 48 uses the 43x frame

Material is needed to support the slide out past the frame and act as a dust cover to the slide and the hole is there literally only for you to access the screw or rivet holding the front sight on the slide

A 1911 has the same metal under the slide that protrudes from the frame. It does not need the hole because 1911s have dovetailed sights pushed in from the side without needing to access a screw underneath

A glock front sight is held in place by a screw or rivet and needs to be accessed. Access would be blocked if there was no hole

Bought this peasant AR during the sale today I wasn’t in the market for one but for the price I couldn’t resist.

Slide for my S&W 457. I have plans for a rework and don't want to use the original slide in case it doesn't work out.

Thanks, for that explanation. It wasn't covered so I'm going to have to look it up. It just felt different on the recoil vs the 43x but again maybe because of the additional length.

I have a Radical. I wouldn’t call it a peasant rifle. Mine has worked flawlessly the damn thing cost me $800 2 falls ago. Which was way over priced but it’s been a good rifle and pretty accurate

Yeah I got screwed on n price up here. Mine even came with an A2 grip and tiny A2 stock I had to upgrade. My only complaint with the rifle was the trigger and it’s not worse than other Milspec triggers. I put a Larue strait trigger in it and it’s been great.

Picked up this complete LWRC DI 16" upper for $700 local, looks brand new said less than 500round through it. Now I need my Omega 300 to get approved and delivered and to find a nice LPVO.
