I should talk to you about taking a look at my Delton AR-15 California Special. Ever since I made it "California Compliant" it is a total pain in the butt to shoot. The charging handle does not lock back, etc. The shop I used in San Diego, "Tactical Gunfighter" closed up and moved to Alabama to escape California. The only other shop I know of is in Poway, Ca. at a range that is a zoo.

Any gun safe should be better than a cabinet i have a friend that has the winchester and loves it. I think they are decent for the price just don't forget to anchor it down

Awesome! Thanks guys. I haven’t seen much negative feedback on this particular safe so I think I’ll probably swoop one up

My suggestion would be to think about the size and go bigger if it's in your budget. Are you going to keep ammo, personal documents, other valuables inside? Space fills fast.

This. The only way you're getting 26 guns in that safe is if 20 of them are pistols

The size of the safe was perfect for me, but I wish I had bought 2 at the BF discounted price.

Very true you almost need 2 one for guns and 1 for ammo or whatever else won't fit in the first one because its never big enough once you start putting scoped rifles in there

I have that model Winchester with the traditional combination lock and I love it. It came predrilled for a dehumidifier power supply as well.

Everything these guys are telling you is spot on. I ended up with a 49 gun safe and with most rifles having optics I’ll never be able to fit that many. Depending on how I configure it maybe 2/3 that many. We keep important papers in there as well so for extra space I turned my old gun locker into lockable ammo storage. Get bigger than you think you’ll ever need

For sure! I’ve always heard with gun safes that you cut the number in half of the guns it says it can hold. I have a looot of other hobbies and I don’t see myself ending up with a ton of guns to be perfectly honest. Right now I have 2 AR’s, a 12 gauge Remington 1100, a Browning model 30 16 gauge shotgun, and 2 9mm pistols. My arsenal is pretty small. I’m sure I’ll end up with a few more but nothing compared to what a lot of guys have on here hahaha. With that being said, I will be holding some other stuff like ammo, documents, and small valuables possibly as well. So yes, space will fill up quick for sure.

Awesome! Glad to hear another good review about it! Thanks

All great advice from you guys. I appreciate the help!

I would compare the different brands, one brand might have the same safe with a mechanical lock instead or may have more bolts or a slightly higher fire rating. Not huge differences.

Also some states don't require sales tax on gun safes. Not sure of yours. Will save you $ for things like safe lighting and dehumidifiers.

If your cache of ammo ain't heavier than the safes, you need more ammo. Or heavier artillery.
