Wait, what? You are suggesting the govmnt was hording rimfire? That seems an overtly political charge -- and seems silly. My 22 LR and 22 Mag rounds are range rounds and varmint rounds (and cheap, compared to some others rounds.) They are in demand, so how about accepting supply and demand? If I have less than 1000 round of 22LR I would consider myself OUT of 22LR.

Yes I am. But I was talking about 2012… a decade ago. Not right now.

Right now it is a supply and demand/inflation issue. I work in manufacturing and am more familiar than most with the current supply chain issues.

I shoot 1,000+ rounds of .22 every trip to the range. If I have under 10k rounds I consider myself low/out.

 

Aside from 22lr, I've never bought a single round of factory mfg ammo in my entire life.....

Mrs IPNPULZ did get get pissed when I had 10 cases of ammo in the recroom shower she came up stairs and said what’s in the shower down stairs and I said a whole lot of freedom…… since we moved I now have a walk in closet

 

We've reached critical mass for everything at our house, but we bought a new development that's more than 3x the size of our current place, so I'm going to get a walk-in closet of my own Plan on reinforcing the door jamb, frame, etc. and turning it into my personal saferoom.

 

Basically I did take over the smaller guest bedroom ( I have fishing rods to hang and bring in my gun work station) but it has turned into a furniture store room until we figure out what were going to do with some stuff....

Normally I rationalize gun purchases to my wife with things like "they might ban it and it will be worth more" couldn't think of a good reason for this one though.

 

Just don't give her the combo to the safes.......works every time. BTW NEVER OPEN THEM WHILE SHE IS PRESENT (been burnt by that one too)!
