Constant vet bills from visits by my local Coyotes and Bobcats, has me about ready to drop some cash on some quality thermals. Only had minimal luck with spot lights. Just had another trip yesterday to the vet. Luckily it was only a minor injury. This cat basically has a peg leg (tore tendons) from a Coyote visit a few years back. Walks around stiff, but when its running full bore, doesnt seem to affect it. Have lost many a cat, chicken, and had a border collie degloved. They are some sneaky little bastards, that i hate with they passion of a 1000 Karen's, lol. But really they suck. I got many a story.
I even caught a bobcat, literally 4 feet from my front door, tied up with one of my cats. Got away before i could retrieve the rifle. That cat need stitches in its a**. Fun times. Apparently the tie up and rip with their back claws.

Oh man if it were legal the roof on my condo sets up as perfect hide. With nods the amount of coyotes we could drop from the roof overlooking this open space would be unreal. Same for javelina.
I've also would have some amazing shooting lanes using my kitchen table as a bench rest but none of that land is mine so I digress. :(

Ok, it took about a week to gather all the pieces, but last bit received yesterday so I’m calling it <48 hrs:

    • Sig M-18 (320 Carry)
    • Wilson Combat, Compact module
    • 15 rnd Sig mags
    • Galco and Urban carry IWB holsters
Really happy I traded the XDS for the Sig; With compact grip module; totally 3 season concealable. Much prefer the manual safety. I have a lot of service time with the M-17, so I am comfortable & trust this 100%. Like not having to pull the trigger to field strip. Reloads are much easier and repeatable (XDS stove piped often) not to mention 15+1 vs 5+1 capacity). Larger frame and 3.9” barrel is more accurate for me. The Wilson Combat compact grip module is great! Well worth the $70; slimmer around the web of the thumb, little more beaver tail. FWIW, only shortens height by 3/8” and you need 15 vs 17 round mags for a flush fit (17 rounders will for but there is a small gap and base extends ~1/2”. Supplied 21 rounder also fits but sticks out more of course). So, figure ~$175 for the module and 3x 15 rnd mags (but I was able to trade LGS 1:1 an unused 17 for a NIB 15)

Just got this flat dark brown hl yesterday. I actually owned this light before, traded it for a fde tlr 7a then just reached back out to the guy I traded it to to see if had it and wanted to sell it. He did so my circle of buying continues lol. I got issues.

Bought some CCI standard velocity 22LR and just for giggles switched out the Romeo 5 for a Meopta 1-4x that's been sitting in my safe for years.

Just ordered a LaRue MBT-2S trigger for my next AR build. Figured I’d try one after hearing all the hype.

I just gotta figure out if I’m gonna build a 300 or 308 (already have receivers for both) but leaning towards the AR10 since I don’t have one yet.

FYI they started their Halloween/Black Friday/Christmas sale and they have the straight and flat shoe triggers in stock.

S&W Model 629 deluxe. Something I've been eyeballing for a long time. A 3" barrel with wood grips in 44 Mag isn't the most practical thing in the world, but its a work of art imo. Pic is from the net but mine should be ready for pick up Tuesday.

I put one of those in the AR I built for my buddy. Probably the best bang for buck trigger you can buy. Very nice, crisp break and reset.

I’m looking forward to trying it. I have a Geissele G2S that I really like but it cost almost twice what the LaRue does. I’ll be really stoaked if it’s as good which it sounds like it will be.

I've seen some say they prefer one or the other, but the differences between them are so negligible that for half the price it's a pretty simple choice imo.

I’m not a trigger snob like some so I’m sure I’ll be stoaked with it.

I also like changing it up. I try not to have every gun setup exactly the same.

I have no experience with Geiselle but I do with a few others. I have a curved Larue and a strait. I have been tickled with both but prefer the strait. I know that is just a personal thing but it feels better to me.
Maybe I am weird but I’m the opposite I like all the rifles to be more or less the same so ordered enough to make them all the same. I even do the same grips, vertical grips, and mostly stocks so they feel the same.
I’m not one to claim anything is the best but these triggers do all I need I hope you are happy with it.

That’s fair. I also see the merits of familiarity. Especially if you compete or use it professionally which I don’t. (Or if it’s just your preference) They’re all just range toys for me.

I’m the kinda guy I’d rather have an MP5, an AK, and n 5.56 AR than a 9mm AR, 300 AAC AR, and a 5.56 AR.

This build will actually be just my 2nd AR

    …But an AR308

Lol the 308 has the same grip and trigger also. Oh I get it I’d love to have an AK they are all just fun to mess with. I think the little AR9 is hands down the most fun to shoot.

I do the same thing with most of my ARs so muscle memory is the same from one to the next. Besides barrel length, the biggest difference between them is the optic. Some might say that's boring but it makes it easy for me to pick up any one of them and be perfectly happy and used to it. I get variety out of the other guns I own, like sub-guns, bolt-actions, shotguns, etc.

Same only real difference is the optic. Even those are similar and all have green illumination. Good to know it’s not just me
