Finished the AK. Still needs touch ups but shortened barrel completed: refit the front sight and welded in, smoothed out the crown, rifled the 11° chamfer, annular cut the muzzle, threaded the 14x1 LH thread, and brazed the muzzle device.

Lol same. I don't think a single thing I own hasn't been tinkered with in some way or another.

 

Took a chance on Gunbroker and bought a set of factory grips for a small frame revolver, then with a little dremel tool work they fit. Not a perfect fit, but good enough.
