    :hattip:

I took a closer look this morning. A mystery has developed. The gun doesn't match the box. :annoyed:
The box is from 1970, the serial number on the python is a 1971. Out of grandad's 30-something piece collection, this was the only one I didn't know about until after his passing. About half of them still had the boxes, and most of them had numbers matching paperwork (manuals, warranty cards, old hand written receipts, etc). He was kind of meticulous that way.

Kind of bummed, most of his guns had a good story behind them. Wish I knew the tale behind the python.

I’m at 234 days and every time I get close to the “average” wait time it increases a week, every week. FML lol.

If I was gonna drop that kind of coin on a gun it would be an OOW M240.

Pretty much. I'd take anything OOW and be happy with it.

I had a 1919 for a while and it was awesome but a semi belt fed looses its charm after a few outings.

Ya it's kinda self-defeating and I'd have absolutely no practical use for one, but I still want one anyway :D

Yeah if I wasn't offered a butt ass load for mine I'd still have it. It did look awesome mounted in my office.

Haha that's exactly what mine would spend 99% of its life doing, looking badass mounted on a top shelf in my office, and I would be perfectly ok with that. I've thought about getting a replica but for the cost of a good one I might as well buy another gun >.>

Canopy, fitted seat covers, OBA with self leveling air bags, 100w solar, dual Rhino Rack Pioneer platforms, side & rear LED work/FU lights, CB, cell booster. 7x16 cargo conversion, 3" lift, 7'x6.5' fold down aluminum rear deck.
Picked up a Ruger American Ranch 5.56 and 2x 10rnd mags that were a birthday gift. Need to get shorter rings, but the cantilever is what I had mounted on one of my ARs.
It will need some minor work, but I really like it.
The edge of the receiver got hit prior to bluing and the dent digs into the bold. So, I will massage that down and polish the bolt a bit.
It is far too nose heavy, so I will take the butt pad off and see if I'll be able to put some shot in the stock.
The mag release wasn’t well engineered when they set it up to take AR mags. The side of the stock covers half the release. So, I will clearance that to make it easier to drop the mag.
Still debating on muzzle devices to go with the Turbo T2 I ordered, but this will definitely get one so I can try to shush it down a bit later on.
