I’ve never tried the Geissele. I’m curious how it works out for you.

I use the gas buster, one if the OG suppressor charging handizzles.

Why 50ft? Don’t they know most self defense shootouts happen in the 3-5 yard range?

The 50ft or 3-5yards. Look up the stats it’s crazy close. I assure you you shoot someone at 17 yards that a tough self defense to sell.

Im guessing its an angles thing to protect their floor and ceiling.

Was watching a guy do close up work at the local indoor rangle last weekend and since he was quite tall, the rounds were just barely hitting the bottom edge of the backstop, but a lot of them were skipping off the concrete 3/4 of the way down.

Is it a matter of the ceiling height and material? Floor height would be a constant, right? Back baffle construction? My indoor range allows anything within the 75' max distance.

    Curious about this.

IDK, I'm just spitballing ideas why the full runout req is in place. It makes no logical sense.

It’s an older indoor range. It was designed as a .22 rifle bullseye range. Handguns are also allowed. The range is in the lower level of the clubhouse. The basis for the 50 foot distance is to optimize the trajectory to reduce the risk of rounds hitting the ceiling of the range and potentially impacting the floor of the main room of the club. The indoor range is a nice option and does help sharpen marksmanship. If you had hit at 50’, your group at 21 feet is going to be tight.

Also, the indoor range is just one of three ranges. The club also has an outdoor rifle range, where pistol targets can also be set as close as 21 feet. Additionally, there is a dedicated 30’ pistol range with steel targets.

You shoot someone here in Georgia past 30 feet it's going to be a hard self defense case to sell to a jury.

Mass shooter at a shopping mall. Kill (clean) a mass shooter anywhere from any range and I guarantee it doesn’t even go to court.
