Thiiiiiiis close to whipping out the cc and coming home with a new Colt Python last night. If they weren’t near closing time and tried even a little to sell it to me, it would have been a done deal. (Sooner or later, it’s gonna happen)

Oh yeah, what did I buy? Just some practice 9mm and oil

I've had the Combat Executive for a while but just picked up the knife because I thought it would make a good pair.

The Pythons are a really nice wheel gun. Would love to own one someday. I chose to go with the Ruger Security Six…long time ago when dinosaurs roamed the earth. I’ve never regretted that decision. Decided to take a better picture of it the other night.

I have used metal and plastic 50 cal cans with reusable dehumidifiers-the kind you plug in for 24 hours to dry out. They have moisture indicators on them so you know when they need to be dried. They last a very long time in metal cans. In plastic-maybe a week. I rarely dry them in the metal cans. I no longer store anything of value in plastic cans.

Also, I would not go bigger then the 50 cal cans. I have had the larger ones (20mm??) and they become unrealistically heavy when full of ammo. Check out cleanammocans.com. I found their cans to be consistent with their grading system. Other vendors, not so much.

Edit to add-i had to look up the products you listed. If you have a huge mount of ammo that has a good, permanent storage spot and want a larger container, I'd recommend milsurp Hardigg cases. I have a couple, but I don't use them for ammo. They are extremely hardy with a good seal and latches all the way around. They are not convenient to get in and out of quickly. You should be able to find them for about $125-150/ea.

I use 30 and 50 cal metal cans. I put caliber stickers on each and then write grain weights or other pertinent information in silver sharpie

I built a shelf to support the weight properly because anything you buy will collapse at some point

When I first saw Canik a couple years ago i didn't think much of them. They were relatively cheaper than the competition. Their popularity has grown significantly in the last couple years. Might have to revisit them.
