Got the ALG-AKT for the AKV. Definitely prefer the flatter profile to the stock fishhook of a trigger.

 

Just curious why? Ive seen the ones for AR's also

 

Preference. I like the trigger feel, that's the only reason. Some claim other benefits, i.e., consistent finger positioning, better accuracy, etc. I have no objective data to make those claims.

 

Undecided between 19X and 45. Probably go 19X to match my latest rifle build.

My wallet is hiding in the corner after I read this lol.

 

I was in the same boat but had a $500 hard ceiling. All the 19x's that i saw for $500 were too far from me (like 2-3 hour drives). This 45 popped up for $480 and was close and had ameriglo agent night sights so I said what the heck and settled on it instead of waiting around for the 19x. Now I won't feel so bad about holster wear on it as I would with the 19x.

I'll be sending it off to Wager soon. Not sure if i'll send off the g17 I just got too.

FWIW, I was in the same boat as you. I ended up with the 45. The two small differences I found (other than the color) that may help you decide:

1. 45 has front serrations on the slide
2. 19x has a small lip at the front of the mag well so some mag extensions don’t fit properly

I’ve had the 45 for a while now and have no regrets. I may eventually end up getting a 19x just because though. You won’t be disappointed either way.

 

Like I said I like the flatter trigg. Feels better, more crisp, less take up.

 

Yeah I'm sure I will be happy. Just wanted that peanut butter goodness lol.
