New addition is my S&W 625 Performance Center .45acp. I've also ordered the reloading dies and conversion plate and other items necessary to start reloading for this caliber.

 

Everything about this build is ouch. But it will be fun.

I have a dedicated range bag with AICS mags of various calibers and capacities, and multiples for every. My buddy (the one that has to ask what everything costs, like a little kid) and I told him the price of one, and he about shit down both legs.

 

Here is the CMMG Banshee Mk57 that I bought from gun broker the other day. I already had the Holosun sight on hand.

 

I have built an A1, A2 & an A4. These are fun to build and shoot. The A1 has all the correct Colt part’s except the lower and is only semiautomatic. The other 2 are all missed match parts but they still look good.

 

Building an A1 clone with at least some original parts is something I’d love to do. I enjoy the rifles I have but the A1 has some memories for me.

 

I built mine several years ago when it was easy to find the parts. I was even able to find NOS on some. Even on eBay.

 

I debated between A1 and A2. Mostly went A2 cause I like the sights and I enjoy quirky rifles (my AK is an AMD-65). Might still put a pencil barrel on it because I think the govt profile is silly which I think would technically make it an A2 711 build. Mine will certainly be a clone build, no colt parts.

Colt A2 users are demanding top dollar these days. Had a lead on one locally but I don’t care enough to pay $400 for a stripped upper. End of the day it’ll be a range toy so I’ll be happy as long as it shoots well.

Unfortunately I missed the hayday of dirt cheap colt A2s uppers from folks that switched to tacticool flat tops.

 

I love my LE model Colt 6551. Very close to a factory Colt A2 configuration (no sear block).



I would like to get a Colt Match Target lower and make another A2.

 

then I see pics like this and think maybe I should go full A2 including the barrel profile…

 

Me and my wife ran some recently purchased blazer brass 9mm 115 grain ammo through a sig p320 compact a g19 and a m&p compact and it hung up in all 3 and ive never had a problem with any of the guns. We tried some old magtec ammo i had all flawless. Just look out i hope its just a bad batch and not the new norm. Out of 100 rounds probably 15 had failure to eject or return to battery

 

Picked these up at a yard sale for $10 each. One needs a battery cover but they both work.
