What have you bought in the last 48 hours gun related?

Had good service from AIM surplus today. I ordered some ODG Duramags and they called to let me know there was a mistake and they weren’t in stock. He wanted to know if I wanted a different color or cancel. I told him I’d accept black it’s no big deal. Since the black was cheaper he offered to refund the difference or send me an extra which I opted for. Not much of any monetary loss for them if any but I thought it was nice.

 

I deal with them a lot for triggers when on sale as no one can touch them on prices I have found

My guess would be "close to it", but not unfired. The turn line on the cylinder is too prominent for that, even though it's pretty faint. Did you get the presentation case, cleaning accessories and paperwork with it? If so, it does stand a better chance of being unfired, (except for the 3 rounds at the factory) because a collector who would not shoot it, would keep all that stuff together to increase its collector and eventually resale value. M27's are one of the most collected S&W's because it was a "showcase" model, the only S&W made with a checkered top strap and barrel rib, and the direct descendent of the Registered Magnum, the original .357 Magnum revolver.

"Pre-shot" or not, you've got a really nice gun there. I have one from early 1978, shipped Feb 22 of that year. It was advertised as ANIB when I bought it, but I suspect it had a few rounds through it, even with all the other goodies. I know I've put several hundred through it since I bought it, but I don't shoot it nearly as much or often as some other .357's I own. I also have a M28-2 that gets most of the use.

Magpul dierect. I wasn’t being a smart ass about the mags I literally talked to a guy at work today about his. He has an AR10 and a 15 I asked how many mags he had? 4 I was like for each he said 2 for each 4 total how many should I have? Now that’s an open ended question

I’m up to about 30 and feel like I have nowhere near enough.

 

I have the box and paperwork, but the cleaning kit is missing. The gun came out of a relative’s estate. He wasn’t a shooter. Just a few nice guns. It’s import marked, which I think is interesting. I have a sub-collection in my current collection of guns that belonged to friends and relatives.

This Model 14 Single Action belonged to my Dad’s friend. It’s had tens of thousands of rounds through it as his main “Bullseye” gun.

I’m debating about whether to get a set of factory grips for it, or leave it in its current configuration.

We have a table at our local gun show this weekend. Hopefully I’ll have something new by Sunday.

 

Now I feel inadequate

 

I know people who have boxes full of them. I’m just trying to stockpile because last legislative session they tried to ban them in New Mexico. Thankfully it failed but it’s only a matter of time.
