I was in Branson Sunday. A guy in an F150 was selling ammo out of the bed on the side of 129.

 

There’s been a guy around here for the last few years sets up with a trailer and sells ammo. I ought to stop sometime and see what kinda prices he has

Bought a Sig P365 XMACRO and submitted rebate to get 3 free mags. Also picked Holosun HE407K green dot to go with. It was on pre-Black Friday sale at local gun store for only $189. Scooped up a few boxes of 9mm Blazer from Academy for $11.99/box.

 

I just scored that same deal with the 3 xtra mags and a bonus $50 gift card from bass pro

I got tired of shooting prairie dogs and porcupines with my .223 so I bought a savage 17 hmr to do a little varmint hunting, waiting for a yote to see how I do with them.

 

Sweet. My boys both have 17’s and love them. Me…I’m a fan of the 22mag if I’m not shooting 223. When we are at the farm in Mack CO the 17’s are great for varmint shooting. But most of our prairie dog hunting is on a ranch in Vernal UT where we are shooting in excess of 300yards. Their 17’s just can’t reach out with enough energy at those distances. Found it was the same with yotes. Double lung or headshots at about 75-100yards is about the best they can do for putting them down. CCi make a 20gr FMJ that works the best on the bigger game.
