Lol, no. Bought the gen 4 g17 I traded from GT Distributors for $380 shipped. Never have big margins but maybe when life slows down a bit I'll try to see how far I can get with an Anderson Stripped lower or something like that.

 

Well I don't really want 2 of them either haha. I'll use the profits to fund something else I want/need. Or a deal I find I just can't pass up.

That did cross my mind. But I still have my stock g45 which is basically the same gun.

 

My Daughter’s newest duty weapon is a G45 with a Trigicon reddot and a streamlight , She is slowly getting used to it

 

after using red dots on pistols, its hard for me to not want them on all my pistols. Finding the dot takes some getting use to but once you got it down it's hard to beat.

 

Make sure you go leave a comment on the new proposed ATF rule. They call you a unlicensed dealer for all that...

well trading my g17 for the 19x plus me adding cash to that deal plus buying another for cash then selling one for a less than msrp price doesn't really net me profit, just discounts my cost into my final purchase

Just read it. Wasn't aware of it. Commented. Seems like they are trying to get a foot in the door to banning all private to private sells.

 

I am the exact opposite. When I was younger and broke I’d wheel and deal to save a few bucks. Nowadays I’ll happily spend and extra $50 if it saves me abunch of time and hassle.

 

I certainly factor in my time into all this. If it's not a convenient deal it's usually not worth my time. This particular instance I probably spent 20 mins total in driving and meeting the people. Worth it to save $230 (on the conservative side ) I would have spent on milling, sights, and finding 2 19rd 19x mags.

Unfortunately the ATF doesn't care about our ability to own a firearm or shoot them.

I recommend you get a .22lr pistol and rifle to take up most of your range time. You can get .22lr for about 5¢pr. I'll shoot 2-300 rounds of 22lr, and maybe 20-30 rounds of the fullsize stuff and still have a lot of fun.
