    500 rounds of ammo.

Received a shipping notice Thursday morning from UPS stating the package would be here Friday, which makes sense given it was 4 hours away. Friday the tracking changed to "we will let you know when it will be there when we figure it out" in so many words. This morning the tracking changed to "arriving Monday". If I would have started walking first thing Thursday morning, I could have walked there and back by Monday.

I had a Kevlar type cover on mine, but after using it for a while I noticed it actually melted to the suppressor. Once I'd scraped the residue off, I ended up going with a Manta cover. It's a bit bulky, but it does an outstanding job with heat dispersion.

I have seen that TQ's are now becoming the "cool" think for EDC. I carry one for work, but that is understandable.

If I am CCW'ing and I shoot someone, I am not providing first aid till LEO gets there. I am holding the person at gun point until I have cover. So I guess I don't see the point. Also as I learned at work, a TQ is useless without a 1st aid kit. So I guess I don't really see the point.

Giving first aid to someone you shoot is a thing?

No idea...I just see that carrying a TQ is now the "in" thing. I don't know why.

Our package delivery with all the services (USPS, ups, fedex) all of them.. has been terrible lately. Weve had packages delivered to other people's houses instead of ours, weve had things just lost. . It's been bad lately

Some people like to be prepared. If I still carried a TQ on my person it would primarily be for my own use vs someone else. At one time I carried a little IFAK and TQ with me everywhere. I've fallen out of the habit, but I still keep them at hand in my all my vehicles, my range bag, and at home. I have a big first-aid kit in my truck with multiple TQs that would be for use on whomever at whatever scene of violence I find myself. Time can be a killer just as often as the wound itself, so if you can slow or stop the bleeding at the scene, the longer the injured can hold out until real medical help arrives.
But I'm curious what kind of training did your department put you through that told you a TQ is useless without an accompanying first-aid kit? I would disagree with any first-aid instructor that told me a TQ is useless without the rest of my IFAK. The TQ is a tool that temporarily stops bleeding in your extremities, it doesn't require any other part of the IFAK to do that. If you're shot in the leg and the only first-aid available is to put a TQ on it, that would be far better than nothing else.

We have to go through 8 hours of Tactical Combat Casualty Care and then 4 hours every year after that. It covers TQ and other gun shot wound first aid.

That is why it is weird that people are carrying *only* a TQ as in it is only good for extremities and absolutely nothing else. I guess, I am not going out in public every day to be a medic and have a gun shot kit and TQ. I carry a TQ and first aid kit in my Runner and will building one for my motorcycle backpack but I guess I don't see the need to carry it every day as an EDC.

To each their own I guess. Carry what you want, I just think it is weird as it is the *in* thing to do.

One of the hangovers from 20 years of war. Everyone thinks they’re SEAL Team 6. You’re going to the bagel shop, not Tikrit.

I always figured if a need a TQ bad enough ill just use my belt. It ain't perfect but anything is better than nothing. And if its the "bad guy" bleeding out then if i had enough reason to shoot then im definitely not trying to save them

    In LE, it now is.

In my case, if my gun is in use off-duty, it’s because there’s a deadly threat. It may be me, a victim or the bad guy who needs a TQ. I have that one on my person and small stocked kit in the car.

In LE aren't you waiting for cover? So when I CCW'ing, I am not providing anything till LEO get there and can detain the person. Just because they are shot, doesn't mean they are not a threat still.

TQ is only 1 small tool. A body shot, TQ is absolutely worthless. So the bowling alley comment, really doesn't mean anything and there were multiple people shot. So your 1 TQ on your person may or may not help. Unless you have a gun shot trauma kit along with your TQ, are you really doing that much?
