I think most states that allow concealed carry are constitutional carry now. I've had my lifetime permit in Indiana for years now, but they recently voted in constitutional carry.

I’m going by a Academy gun dept manager. MONARCH (Academy Sports) – Barnaul currently makes the steel-cased ammunition for Academy Sports + Outdoors' MONARCH brand. (Academy Sports is an American purchasing and importing group that buys foreign made ammo and resells it under their brands at their own chain of stores).the current brass cased Monarch ammo is coming from the Philippines (Armscor). The Monarch brass cased pistol ammo used to be loaded by Prvi Partizan.

 

Heck I was thinking that it was Russian, repackaged in Serbia and sold as made in Brazil……..

 

I did a little googling, and it looks like it was made by PPU at one point, then by Armscor for a little bit. Boxes were labeled as being made in Serbia/Philippines for each of those. I've never bought PPU or Armscor so not sure how tightly they are packaged, but now the boxes say Made in Brazil, they are packaged in the same little plastic tray as Magtech and S&B use, looks identical to Magtech except a MON headstamp, and the primers have identical markings as the Magtech 9mm I have as well. Google images suggest Armscor comes in a different, larger plastic tray, and PPU typically has a more copper colored projectile, but again I've never used either of those so maybe it varies.

 

Anybody taking advantage of some of these sales?

 

Pretty sure all my 9mm ppu casings had ppu stamped on the case too. Not sure if that has changed as I probably haven't bought a box in years but the ones I have now have it stamped.
I also read online the Monarch brass 9mm was magtech but have no reliable source.

Gun related purchase? Bought a target. Actually, it's a New Year's gift for the old lady (a tee shirt). She been nagging me all year long, so no diamonds this year. Gonna tell her it's a Chinese-good luck symbol.
That she has to put it on, walk out across the field about 150 yards to where I built the snowman. That her real gift is somewhere on the snow man. If she can't find it she has one chance to turn around and shout "Can you hint me?"

Got a fancy barrel for my P320 from Faxon end of the year sale. It's still going on if anyone needs a barrel.
