    Oh yes it will.

Under regular range shooting probably not. But any extra spicy loads will do it, especially on smaller framed revolvers and the scandium models.

My 29 and 329pd will do it with some Buffalo bore loads. Saw the lock engage on a j frame using +p .357mag.

You should yank it out then. 5 min removal with lots of vids on YT. I have a 360PD that I've put a lot of rounds through and never had an issue.

    I did on the 329pd.

I also used to think it was a non issue until I started shooting hotter loads through these revolvers.

Most normal off the shelf loads will not do it, but if you load for bear or have a load designed to try and make up for a sub 3in barrel it can kick on that lock.

On a full size 686 like that it will probably never happen but it's definately not a fairy tale told to scare new hires.

that is on my list! Along with QC mounts for 750 and RCBS Rock Chucker, more wall mount adapters (already bought their wall mount), light kit, etc etc. This thing is barely up and running, and I am making a second parts order, ordering hundreds of dollars more worth of stuff. Last night I just de primed a few hundred pieces of 223, to get familiar with it. I can also add that 10 piece brass feeder is a major bottleneck, so Dillon case feeder is on the list too. I could probably de prime 20-30 pieces in the amount of time it took me to load 10 in the hopper,,, that ain't worth shit.
