I mostly do option one. Some times I do catch my self just closing my left eye to have my right eye take over. Using a red dot helps a lot with both.

Got the MTM mag case for AK’s. AR case waiting to ship. Not sure if it’s worthwhile. Lots of extra space. Might be okay if packing other items around. 9 mags for a big box. I keep 8 in the shoulder rig.

 

That's the downside of mag containers like that. Lots of waisted space. Cram them in there without the foam to fit more. I know with AK mag, they don't fit as tight as AR mags but you still could fit more with a better configuration.

Speaking of… Containers… I got these “storage containers” from Costco. they’re about the same size as a 30 Cal box but plastic, and they do come with a rubber seal.

i used the mtm crates to create "car kits" for the vehicles. woobie, fire starter, lighter, knife, flashlight, paracord, jumper cables, first aid kid, and flares. nice because it seals, waterproof, and keeps all the crap together.

 

Wife got excited over this. Glock 42 .380. We adopted it.
