I mostly trail ride since I have a nice area where I live to do that. I generally explore in public areas so I don't get into trouble, but I noticed the sheriffs would often just wave to me as I ride by. Honestly, I think as long as you wear a helmet and ride normally instead of hot dogging, they don't care. Also, when I go through a neighborhood....people out walking wave too....since I'm not making a ton of noise!

I have the 1x red on a 300bo pistol. It’s great. Wish I could have gotten green when I ordered.

 

I transitioned to all green a few years back. Mostly Trijicon MRO's. So much better than red IMO.

 

Astigmatism sucks. Still have to keep the light at low power.

 

So ... I have astigmatism, so says the eye doctor ... my corrective lenses make all seem reasonable enough.

Also looking at a Holosun HE507K-GR to mount on a Glock. Is green better than red for astigmatism? And is 10-day/2-night settings for a 32MOA-circle/2MOS-dot sufficient for "keep light at low power"?

 

I don't believe color matters for astigmatism.

Green does consume more power to generate, so batteries won't last as long as red.

 

Do you like Viridian better than Holosun, or is the "competitor red dot" basically just "red dot" without a brand?

 

I don't own either, so no experience to share.

 

Curious ... what do you recommend? Spending that much money I value experience here more than (possibly paid-for) online reviews.

 

I'm one of the rare ones still running iron sights on all of my pistols. Holosun gets really good feedback from what I hear and read.

 

I still run AmeriGlo irons on my G45 (non-MOS ... had not heard of MOS in 2020). Thought I would try reflex for grins.
