    I have been looking at getting an AK (since I sold mine back in the Newtown scare for crazy money) and they have commanded higher than normal prices.....

    From what I’ve seen the prices on AK seem to be steadily rising. I still think I get way better deals on AR stuff ordering factory direct when I can. Order a bit of stuff from BCM yesterdat

    When on sale, grab some BCM t-shirts. Probably the softest I've ever owned/worn.

    @OnePuttBlunder can confirm.

    I grabbed the Zastava with the red furniture. No regrets. I’ve only run about 400 rounds through it so far but it’s been flawless and pretty damn accurate. I went back to a different show and found me a surplus Yugo grip and unissued bayonet since they now come with the bayonet lug. It does seem to like the steel mags best but both work the Yugo mags have last round bolt hold open in them

    Both of our local independent gun stores that I do business with do consignment and host Gun Broker auctions. One does 10% commission plus fees, which I think is pretty fair. The other does 70% of retail “book value” for trades and purchases which isn’t terrible either. The bulletin board at the local Sportsman’s club is good too. Guns hold value really well, but turning them back into cash can be a process.

    I was able to move a bunch of these along at 50% or way less just to move them. An example is a Raging Judge for $250. I just needed to move these on and no one was interested. I still have a Kimber Ultra light carry II that is sitting around, but I don't have time for it right now. I'm honestly really perplexed on what to do with all the rifle ammo and such. No one around here shoots 450 BW, 30-30, 308, etc.. apparently. (I guess mostly because it's shotgun only for hunting). I have a 308, but I only shoot suppressed now (better for my ears and neighbors!).

    I always wanted to see if the Axis shoots as well as the reviews say it will. For $299? I have to quit stopping at my LGS on the way home. I have a bunch of partial boxes of experiments that I put together when I was load testing for my AR Varmint that I’m excited to try. (Savage Axis II in .223 with a Simmons 6.5-20x I had laying around.) IMG_7029.jpg

    Nice! But don't worry....remember when this process took like 6 months to a year! Let us know how you like it. The 30 cal version is good to go. It's the sub ammo that matters.

    30 cal version of an Osprey? I think you may be confusing it with a different model

    only have like 4 boxes of 30-30, but consider other things too....maybe you want a 450 bushmaster upper with all the ammo or 308 ammo, 50 BW with 2 mags, or 9mm, 22, etc.. Better than family price for you. Food for thought! Might as well make it worth your while if we're going to do this. Heck, I'll toss in a bottle or two of whiskey because I quit drinking.....and just want to get rid of stuff.

    What lower is required to run the 450 upper?

    a regular AR lower. The bolt carrier is included in the upper, but I recall that you need a heavier buffer due to the higher energy I believe (buffer and spring not included). There are like 7-10 boxes of ammo that come with it also.

    Well that went fast. 450 upper with BCG and all the hornady ammo for $450 (tossed in a new scope too). Turns out the total count of ammo was 14 boxes. I had to increase the price a little, but I also added 308 rounds for under $8 per box for all of them.
