    I don't know yet. I can't pick it up until dec 31...

I'm hoping this one doesn't have extractor failure/problems. S&w is the only ones that figured out the external extractor. Sig is hit or miss... Some people say theirs fail the extractor test while others say their sigs passes with no problem.

Gotcha. When Sig finally intro'd their 1911 I'd already left to the dark side of semi custom 1911 makers, my Kimber was a nice shooter before it paperweight'd itself. Haven't taken it out of the shipping box yet from the warranty repair.

The wary sigs should be avoided like Ebola. the early models had extraction issues. Sig claimed they worked some of the problems out. They also claim that their guns are tightly fitted and needs more than 500 rounds to function properly. But an Operator is more tightly fitted than the sig and can function (not all) within the 500 range.
If you look at the slide. The newer sigs have a flared ejection port. They said this helped with the extraction issue. Mine is made in May. So as soon as I pick it up. I'll do a review. And if it jams from 500-1000 rounds. It's gonna get sold.

Isn't that what pretty much every 1911 manufacturer says, 500 rounds because it's so tight? Never had a large production 1911 that was that tight from the large brands. My Baer took well over 1000 rounds though before I could strip it for cleaning, however, so I suppose it's possible, but I wouldn't think Sig fits that tightly. My Kimber was actually hand fit, and it wasn't that tight.

Also, was their first incarnation NOT flared at the ejection port?

I handled it last night and I didn't feel that tight. My milspec feels just as tight as that sig. Then again its just a nightmare with ceracoat and hogue g10 grips and msh. The ngtmre is nitron coated.

Wilson, bear, nighthawks, Dan Wesson, trp/operators should all be tight because they are hand fitted

I don't think its the tightness of the sig that causes them to fail..

I bought it from a shop that had like 8-10 displayed and from what I gathered had more in the back. They also apparently sold around 50 of them on Black Friday.
