Hej. Bought some ammo today for my first handgun. What a pain in the ass it was loading the mags though. Springs were resistant as fuck. Any suggestions? Is there a tool to feed shells better? 9mm

No its not a neccesity. But it might be helpful till you get used to loading. I don't think springs will loosen that much

Mag loading is a lot about technique. But if you just don't want to deal with it, the maglula gets great reviews and fits a lot of different guns.

    Stop being a pussy.

Me being the only one in the family that can't purchase handguns YET, i am the mag loader :|

Also, it'll get easier over time....as you get used to it and as the springs wear.

Maybe you guys can answer this.

I am getting this mount for my aimpoint magnifier. There are 2 options. Lever mount and VFZ mount. What is the difference? I want the one in the image when you pull the link up. I am assuming that is the lever mount, correct?

    I got you bud....

Lever mount means that once the optic is mounted to the mount, you can flip the lever and the whole mount and optic can be removed as one. This is idea if you have to go back to iron sights at a moments notice. And if you remember at what point your mount was on your top rail, once you reinstall the mount back on in the same place, your zero is maintained.

I believe (but not 100% sure) the VFZ mount clamps/screws on and requires tools to install/remove. I've only ever handled the lever mounts and they are well worth the money from LaRue.

Here is info on the VFZ mount that i have never tried before:

Thanks bud. That's what I thought. I just didn't know what a VFZ mount is. I want the flexibility of taking it off and stuffing in my pouch on my vest when the magnifier isn't needed.

    Thanks again.

No problem. I don't know a whole lot but i can at least point you in the right direction

From what i've read, the VFZ mount produces a more consistent ZERO (because you can tighten it with the supplied tools to the same tension every time you reinstall it) than the clamp style

It's a red dot magnifier. I dont need a zero, the Comp M4 stays mounted, which is what needs to be zeroed. My iron sites work with the M4 mounted too so unless the lens break on it, it basically will never come off.

Just ordered it. Should be here this week and with the exception of a light my AR build is complete. :woot:
