Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
i suppose holding a holstered pistol to your head makes about as much sense as holding an unholstered pistol to your head...

I live in an open carry state too, and I can pretty much guarantee that the cops in this state would have a word with you if you were walking around the grocery store with your pistol Temple Indexed, holstered or not.

    Yes

Yes and no. Brandishing is defined by Federal Law as willfully allowing any part of the firearm to become visible, holstered or not, in order to intimidate another person.

“with reference to a dangerous weapon (including a firearm) means that all or part of the weapon was displayed, or the presence of the weapon was otherwise made known to another person, in order to intimidate that person, regardless of whether the weapon was directly visible to that person. Accordingly, although the dangerous weapon does not have to be directly visible, the weapon must be present.” (18 USCS Appx § 1B1.1)

As I understand it, the legally tricky part is proving intent to intimidate. Regardless, it's probably a safe bet that the police would want a word if you were walking around temple indexed, no matter what your state's laws/views towards firearms are.

I carried my 1911 and still carry my other pistols at the 4 or 5 o'clock position. Makes sitting comfortably possible still.

ryry you're always doing the internet correctly...and IG

But the problem with the stupid temple index is it's designed for highly trained people doing very close quarter work requiring entering and exiting vehicles with a lot of chance of collateral damage. Then the internet got it, and every idiot with a gun that thinks they're a super tacticool OAF badass tried to start using it constantly

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
My SV is a shooter. What can? I need to ditch the kiddie stock that came on it. Length of pull too short and grip too small.

Had a bunch of fun with it last fall shooting flies at 30 yards.
