    I just looked at it in the store before I got it. Had a lot of great reviews and the lifetime no questions asked warranty was hard to beat. Dick's sporting goods has it on sale right now for $149. I had a $50 gift card so I grabbed it up for that price. Seemed to be fine looking through it in the store and it comes with the mount. It can also use any of the mounts for the Aimpoints too. I was a little worried about some of the stuff I read about having an astigmatism and using a red dot so I wanted to look through one before I got it.

    Is it just me or did your post to me earlier disappear?

    I have read really good reviews on both sights...I'm leaning towards the one with the Magnifier on it...just need to get the Cantilever to exact co-witness..

    Just put the PA Advanced Micro on my Midwest Industries AK handguard and it's almost a perfect co-witness! The emitter is almost invisible and doesnt obstruct anything, plus it's advertised as 50k hours battery life.

    Can anyone inform me on how to ship a .22 ruger & ammo?

    I've researched online and also stopped at a local FFL and have come to this:

    .22 rifle - needs to be shipped FedEx / UPS / or USPS. (Cheapest of the 3)
    Ammo - Needs to be shipped FedEx or UPS w/ "ORM-D" on the package. (No extra fees charged for it being ammo; just regular ground postage to buyer)

    Will be shipped to buyers choice of FFL local to him.

    Anything i'm missing? Feel free to PM me so I don't BS up this thread.
    (Sorry, seemed like the best thread to ask in!)

    **Ruger will be shipped from NC to New York
    **Ammo will be shipped from NC to PA

    I am not an BATF agent, but I think everything looks in order...most FFL dealers charge a fee($75 in Ohio) for receiving, and handling/storage.

    The StrikeFire is a great RD. I had one on my AK for a few years and now my son has it on his AR. Always held zero and never had any issues with it. The only reason I gave it up is because I'm old and needed magnification that the RD couldn't provide.

    I also had a Bushnell TRS 25 on an AR Pistol. Again a very good choice for a budget red dot.

    I'm fairly certain that fed ex doesn't ship ammo? I could be wrong, but I buy a lot of ammo off the nets and it has always come UPS. As far as transfer fees...there is no set price. Gun shop down the road charges $25, the ffl I use charges me $10.

    Finally got my Form 1 for my SBR back :) If i show off the form 1 it looks like it took all of 8 days :) But thats cause i messed up on the model (rainier arms uses RM15 instead of AR15) so had to resubmit

    Now when i get home i can take the pistol tube off and put the regular stock on :)
