    A) I dont like a part like that to be plastic
    B) It adds a bit of weight to the end of the barrel, which helps stabalize recoil and keep the barrel from walking a bit better than the plastic.

    Not a ton of difference but it is noticable if you pay attention to fine details like that.

    No, I got mine from the Glock Store. They make a Tungsten one which is heavier, but from what I have read on gun forums, the springs tend to snap more often and the added weight is negligable compared to the SS.

    I have a Gen 4 G19, but you can find one for any Gen #. I initially had it on order from Glockmeister.com, but it was on backorder for 4 months and when I called the guy was kind of a dick, so I said fuck you, lose my order I'll go to the Glock Store. Got it in 4 days.
