Went to the range Thursday just stopped in. Was taking to the guy and he pulls out a 24/7 g2c 9mm says it's his everyday carry. Looked at it for a bit felt like my revolver was more then enough in a real world situation. And left. It ate at me all night and curiosity got the best of me so I called and asked him the price. Kept thinking and thinking. Well ended up going back last night and got it. Brand new in the case Taurus 24/7 9mm g2c in the waist band holster and 50 rounds less than 300.00 otd.

Weight wise loaded feels the same as the revolver. It is a little smaller than the revolver I think (minus barrel).

I think I'm going to make this my every day gun. The revolver is a great fun but my logic for buying was. I hope I hit the bg the first time and it's over. But if I miss I'd rather be able to miss 12 times than 4. The 24/7 has standard 13+1 capacity and 17+1 with included extended magazine. The revolver has 5 and done.

Out of my car because I messed up twice in a night. I'd gone to dinner at my folk's place the night before. Put some stuff that I'd left on a previous trip in the back of my car and then forgot to lock the door (power lock gears are shot). Got home, unloaded dogs and leftovers, and completely forgot I'd put it in the center console when I got to my parent's place. Fast forward to the next day, and some assholes trolling the parking lot found my car. Called cops about an hour after finding it missing since I spent a little time tearing my apartment apart to make sure I hadn't brought it in.

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Went to Walmart for grocery this morning but left with these:

I already have a G19/23 kydex shell for my Comptac holster and it was considerably more affordable than the VP9 I want. I stuck with .40 because it's the caliber I qual'd on for armed security in SC. The licensing agency here is weird, you qual on a caliber, not semi/revolver or a particular make & model. What made it really sting was that the USPc was my 21st bday present.

Edited for staying on topic: I ordered a smooth G17/22/etc trigger, Vickers slide release (I hate the factory one) and extended slide lock on Friday.

I like it fine, but I'd go with 9mm if I could do it over again. Simply for easier/cheaper feeding. I picked it because 8 years ago I still bought into 'stopping power' :D

Anyway, if you happen to swing by NFA in the near future, say Hi to Cliff and Guido for me. Love those guys.

Has anybody handled or shot the XD mod2 in .45 yet?

I really like the ergonomics of the gun, just wondering what the recoil is on it? I have small hands so trying to find something manageable.

The grips are nicer, BUT I despise the fact that some group of dudes decided to engrave grip zone into the grips lol. It's menial I know, but still annoys me.

I have the xd compact 45 and love it. Super manageable with recoil.. Plus I just installed prp ultimate match trigger and will soon be adding a barrel and solid guide rod. That ought to really get it rocking and rolling for my weekly handgun match.
