Finally got an eotech for my windham

 

After ordering a vortex for my dad through their military program in definetly ordering my next scope through them. Leupolds are nice but their price tag even with Leo is still ridiculous and the glass in the vortex we ordered was top quality. Granted I haven't personally shot through it yet but out of the box and in my hands felt just as good if not better then leupold imho and the amount of free stuff they sent was easily about $80 worth

 

I picked up a Redfield after looking at every decent scope in my two horse town. The Vortex didn't have the clarity that the Redfield did. But all I've done is sight it in. No range time to see if it holds true...and it was cheaper.

4 boxes of 9mm 50rd Perfecta Ammo for $10.97 a box at Walmart. i would have bought more but that's all that was in the case. buying ammo from Walmart sucks because a sales associate has to walk the boxes all the way up to the front cashier, so freaken annoying.

 

What?! That blows. Not around here. Often times I grab ammo, pay for it, drop it in the cart and continue shopping. Sucks you have to be escorted there

 

If wally world has anything we can pay in sporting goods. But he is in cali.

I can pay for it there or up front after more shopping. I think they'll walk you out with a gun purchase.

 

Around here you just pay at the sporting goods counter.
The biggest problem I have with ammo at walmart is that it's not reliable. Some days they'll have .45 in Winchester only, then it'll disappear for six months and they'll only have Federal, and then that'll disappear and they'll only have Remington. Annoying as fuck, but not as bad as only having Wolf or Blazer, I suppose.
I've started buying online for consistency's sake; Freedom Munitions reman'd is cheaper and so far it works just as well in my 9's and my 45's.

Got the same deal two days ago 6 boxes instead of 4. Didn't have to walk up front though. Just paid and bagged back in sporting goods. The guy said they get ammo every Tuesday and usually have 9mm on it. Gonna check back next Tuesday and see if I can get more.

 

I thought to myself 11 bucks a box I figure I'd try it out, and if it doesn't work out I can always use it as barter for trade if STHF when zombies happen

 

IS SGV LA county? I think thats why they had to walk the ammo up front for you. I recall living in the valley and having it go that way, but in ventura county I pay & bag at the sporting counter

 

yup, right smack dab in the middle of LA County.

they tried to do the same thing last summer when i wantd to buy a cheap stereo for my crawler. when the sales associate opened the case i reached for the box she said "OH NO YOU DON'T" they were "um..sir you cant even touch the box untill you payfor it, and we have to walk it up to the front cashier". i said NOPE and grabbed it from her and paid for it at the electronics section. even that turned out to be a fiasco but thats a whole other story lmao. i hate walmart.

 

Don't they also take your fingerprint and log your ammo purchase?

 

that was a giant rumor. The City Of Los Angeles is pretty strict about all ammo purchases with in city limits tho...
