Sorry for not being clear. I was comparing the lcr9mm with the SW 642 that I have. The LCR crane latch is smoother, the trigger pull is significant lighter and no where near as long. It has a painted front sight and off the black rear it is much easier to sight in then the smith all grey. Sure, a function of SS vs composite but I hope you get the point. My Glock shoots much better no question. But for a very small carry revolver, it's one of the best. Only small revolvers vs small revolvers.

Now, it does have a few advantages over any semi just like it has disadvantages. Other then not having to be charged, there is not much of any.

I took my grandfather's old 20 gauge Stevens model 67 to the gunsmith- had the barrel chopped down to 18", internally threaded for chokes, a small FO sight installed, and had the stock cut down to fit me better with a new recoil pad on it. Next step is to get the Gunskin of my choosing and make it mine. Hopefully, Grandpa would be proud. Still cheaper than buying a new shotgun, keeps a family gun in the family, and gets rid of a bunch of length. Changed up a $125 gun and now it will be shot and kept for home defense as opposed to sitting in a cabinet wasting away.

Yes it is. Last few are lingering around. Lipsey's has been sold out for a year.

Love mine. Not crazy about the takedown/reassembly procedure, but it's not bad once you get the hang of it.
Sucks that they've discontinued them, though. What's going to be replacing it?

Meh. Those aren't bad guns, for sure. Different style, though. They don't strike me as being as target-oriented. But, I haven't shot either of them, so I can't say for certain. I know that the 22A shoots minute-of-squirrel at about 50-60 feet no problem. :notsure:

Ugh. Tell me about it. Lost one woods tramping with it last year. $26 to replace it! For a .22!!!

Just said yes to a used Ruger Mark III with the removable panels and 6" bull barrel for $200 that my son came across. He told me the bore looked good in the bore scope and the bluing is in great shape. Now to find out which .22 rounds it likes to shoot. Will post pics later this weekend.

I ordered a mag coupler and MVG for my dad's AR and just (finally!) ordered some Trijicon HDs for my Glock 23. If any of you guys are on Dvor, they've got a great sale going for a few more hours on Magpul and Trijicon sites in their Veteran's day sale.

Picked up a weatherby sa-08 12ga. Took it skeet shooting this morning and absolutely loved it. Really glad I went with gas instead of inertia driven.
