Very nice, looks long - an optical illusion ? Guessing yours is a 18" or 20" barrel ? Mine is 18" White Oak barrel with 15" BCM hand guard which I think is the longest they make. My receivers are Mega Arms Billet specifically because I wanted the SBU series (heavy wall ) no forward assist, shell deflector or charging slot. My first build so I went a little crazy with it but that's what makes it so much fun. Of course never ever tell the little woman what is put into it, otherwise :crapstorm: :crapstorm: :crapstorm:because I TEASE her about all the sewing equipment etc.

just an optical illusion, weird camera phone format. Its a BCM 16" recce with 13" kmr. Really digging their "alpha" kmr hand guard, I dont have giant hands so it fits perfect. I hear ya, this my first build but I'm going more inexpensive compared to mega arms :p.

I really thought so on the illusion. Yup, that's what got me looking at the BCM site was the hand guards. I also went with alpha, buddy tried to get me to go with the alloy one. Not one of those trying to save every ounce, but saving $ to spend it where justified is  I also saved a bit buying sales, black fri ect - good thing as I needed too. AMAZING how costs get out of control when you do it the way you really want too LMAO. Have fun on the build.

Yea unfortunately there aren't any sales going now but that just means after this build I'll be buying a lot of stuff come black friday for my next build:D. Just pulled the trigger on optics(Primary Arms prism 5x and some mbus) so after everything I'll still be sub a complete bcm rifle which is pretty good I think.

I ordered some mlok 5-section rails and 2 AFG-2 mlok adapters last night. Picked up a MOE mlock hand guard and 400 rounds of .22LR at Cabela's tonight.

Just bought one of the first Primary Arms 3x prism scope(just released this afternoon), with the new ACSS reticle. Really looking forward to it. The 5x would have been overkill for me.

Making aluminum powder to mix with the cold packs for tannerite, I do need to figure out how to make the powder finer though.

I'd like to try it, but it may take a while to find a cheap one in my area, not very common in south MS.
