Yeah, mine looks similar. I have only shot mine once so it shouldn't be from the heat. I took mine off also just to take a peek and there is plenty of heat shielding under there. I was going to change the hand guard anyways so it's no biggie for me.

Yes mine was the same way since the day I got it new. I heated mine up with a hair dryer to the point where I can't hold it anymore and used a large zip tie to hold the two halves together while it cooled. It helped a lot to close the gap.

Just added another gun to the collection. IAC Hawk 982 12 gauge, AKA Remington 870 clone for $179. Ghost rings came with it and I added the 6 shell side saddle.

Bought a Desert Eagle in 50AE with a conversion to 44 magnum. Useful for anything? no probably not. Fun? Absolutely.
The picture has a 50AE and 44 mag bullet beside a 9mm for a comparison.

    going to be fun!
Fun they are!! I wish I would have never sold mine but I wanted to fund some other products that I would enjoy more. I still have some loading dies and brass somewhere as I loaded my own ammo as that is the only way I could afford to shoot the thing.

Perfect man thanks, I've been looking for a cheap optic for my AK. I couldn't justify spending the money for another aimpoint or trijicon when the rifle was $600 new five years ago, and I didn't want to take them off my other rifles. This will work well for my cheap gun.

Why would you put a red dot on an AK? Those things are spray and pray guns.

ARs with bulk mil ammo is just slightly more accurate than a decent AK with steel case ammo.

You mean besides much faster and definite target acquisition? With your theory why do people put red dots on handguns?

Probably so within 100-200yds, which is as far as I would usefully stretch my red dots without magnification.

And after that I'd much rather have a 308 vs x39 or 556.

I'd love a 17, but they're about $3000 more than I can afford right now haha.
