Progress on my Nosler 22 I'm building myself at work! Finished the stock work and got the action and bottom metal finished. Put her all together today for fitting purposes. Trigger all adjusted, just waiting on a few small parts to come in so I can get her all coated!!

Is that a good representation of the extra fancy upgrade (+$200) on the custom rifle? It's beautiful. Hope you plan to hunt it.

When I have mine built I'll make sure you pick out my wood.

This is one of our OLD extra fancy walnut stocks. They are absolutely beautiful in person. Pictures don't do it justice! I'll grab some more pics today of the rifle. I do plan on hunting with it, as I don't see a point in having a gun you don't use haha. That first little scratch or dent will be painful however ha. You can always request someone to build your rifle. The wood customs are my favorite to build. I have a lot of pride in them.

Picked this up today for a steal, in my opinion (from a gun shop...not a random person). Shows very little signs of use. Storm Lake barrel. I think part of the low price was lack of case and extra magazines, which I was fine with, as it was a good $100 cheaper than anything else I had seen.

I saw it yesterday, but didn't have time to get it. Went back today and there was a guy who had just asked to check it out. He was really into it. Talking about how good the trigger felt, how clean it was. The guy helping him came over to me and asked if I wanted to look at something. I told him I was there to buy 'that' 19. Yadda yadda, the other customer asked if he could put some money down, but the salesman let him know that I was there to buy it. Other customer had no problems letting me take it. Said it would've been his 3rd 19. I later found out that the other customer is a cop, and typically doesn't let guns he's interested in slip through his grasp. I'll be taking it out tomorrow and putting some rounds through it. Figure tonight I'll strip the slide and clean it up.

Picked this gem up today! FDE HK VP9 with night sights. Plus got a DEAL on a youth model 10/22.... She's already stripped and awaiting new parts.

I'm glad you're building it to use. These days my two main rifles are a cooper M54 and a Kimber 84L select grade that both have nice wood. I have several stainless/synthetic guns for hunting in bad conditions, but I just like hunting with a beautiful rifle. I don't mind the scratch because I remember the hunt when I see it.

So if that was from old stock, how does the new stock differ? Is it not as fancy? That wood looks alive. Very beautiful.

I love a nice looking gun! And love using them, wood guns just have that nice warm feel to them. Scratches definitely can remind you of the good times but then the bad ones too ha. Cooper and Kimber both make outstanding guns that's for sure!

As far as my stock goes, it's just an older style stock. Different swivel studies and it has woodgrain caps on it. Opposed to solid black Caps.

I tagged you in a post with a current extra fancy stock. Nice thing about the extra fancies are there aren't any that are the same!

Very cool. Man your job must be great. Are you also married to a super model?

I just have to figure out what caliber I want. It will probably be for Africa use. I need a 416 rem but I don't think that's currently an option.

Thank you! I wish I was married to a super model haha. I think my job is pretty great! Very fortunate I get to do what I do for a living everyday! Yeah we don't chamber anything that big currently.
Depending on what you're hunting the 33 Nosler is pretty great!
Well if you decide to get a Nosler rifle request me to build it!

I will. I plan to have one made next year. I've got a moose/mnt goat trip to BC this fall I'm paying for this year. The wife said that's enough for this years budget.
