I would tend to disagree and nearly always find the opposite to be true; people referring to the M1A as an M14.

The poster's reaction warranted some correction. ;)

Yesterday, I settled on a 1911, not the model I wanted, but it was a good deal.
    So why not?

Like it just fine. I always carry OWB and this works for the Ruger.

Question for my TW gun peeps: should I trade an unfired but without the box and paperwork Sig P556 Swat for a BNIB Springfield Range Officer Stainless in 45?

I'm awfully tempted because, one, I've had the Sig for 6 years and never fired it, and two, I love 1911s, especially Stainless Springfield 1911s.

I had wanted one for years and just never bought one. A few months ago I came across this one used for an excellent price so I couldn't resist.

Bed rug, ARE bed top, Weathertechs. Little goodies here and there!
If that's what you want, then do it. Then go shoot your new 1911 and dont let it lay.

I dont shoot my 1911 enough as i have a rough time assmblimg after break down. I tend to do the idiot scratch as they call it and it pisses me off everytime. But damn it's fun to shoot.

Keep the Sig and buy the RO :) The Sig has a lot better chance of going up in value in the future compared to a 1911 IMO

Not sure why you have fired it, but I would rather have a gun I am comfortable and accurate with, than a safe queen.

So give me the sub, buy the 1911.

    We will both be happy.

    Thanks for the input guys.

I am going to keep the Sig and buy a used RO somewhere down the line. I might start the process to SBR the Sig, but in the meantime, I ordered a pistol buffer tube and the SB-15 brace last night (which brings us back in the realm of this thread, right?).

This counts for this thread right?
