I carry my 19 (same size as a 23 iirc) in a Zorn skinny rig w/ a wing and 5° cant. It is amazing, totally disappears and is comfortable all day.

My buddy has one in 9mm. Easily one of the more fun guns to shoot that we've got in our combined collections, cause rattling off 10 or so rounds just doesn't cost enough to worry about. Easy to shoot and (with irons) fairly accurate for a PCC. I've heard the Bushnell TRS-25 cowitnesses with factory irons if you're looking for a red-dot for it, but the irons are so good I wouldn't even consider it myself TBH.

That might work. The factory rail isn't well attached to the receiver, but if you can get it well attached it could be quite accurate.

Yup, I was super impressed with it out of the box. The only drawback I've found is that the aftermarket 15rd mags blow massive donkey wang, go 10's or 20's for reliability. Oh, and people shit on it because it's a hi-point and they're basic bitches who rely solely on branding to determine if it's worth their time. As a truck gun/beater rifle/something you can hand to anybody for them to comfortably shoot it's one of my favorite rifles ever.

I ended up getting a Kel-Tec Sub2k for the extra bonus of having it use the same ammo and mags as my Glock.

At this point in my collection I've got enough variety to try and keep up with, so I'm starting to look for cross-compatibility wherever I can. For instance, I'm not going to expand calibers/gauges any more if I can avoid it, except to maybe eventually pick up something in .308

A bit, but not exorbitantly more. $400 from Palmetto State, plus the transfer fee at my local gun shop once it shipped. Once you figure in not having to buy a bunch of extra mags (since I've already got a box full for my G19), the cost definitely wasn't much more than the Hi-Point would have been.

Hunting with FA?!? Or just plan on missing a lot.....

    :p

Why .308 if you don't mind me asking? There are much better calibers in the class.

My dad, an uncle, and three of my cousins hunt with a .308, so when we do group hunts it's convenient to have shared calibers in case somebody forgets their ammo at home, etc. Plus it's a decent all-around caliber that's readily available pretty much everywhere that sells ammo.

Never used it; I'm generally loading Cor-lokt unless I'm carrying my lever gun, in which case it's Leverevolution.

@Harry2015 is the one who bought the Fusion.

    Solid reasons.

Mostly I get around here is "it's the round the military snipers use." And this is an awefuke reason. So many better out there if you are shooting long range.

Not really into that either. As with most things the military does, the same practices don't necessarily make sense for civilians.

My surefire x300u just came in and my slide just made it to Primary Machine for some upgrades. Also bought 300 rounds of 9mm.

Ha...I understand. I'd hide too if someone came w/that much ammo!

No one has to justify 308 to anyone for deer. It’s a great “caliber in its class”, whatever the hell that means.

Definitely a great midweight round. Right now 30-06 is my go-to all-around cartridge, but it wasn't planned out. Just sort of happened. I was looking for a lighter weight hunting rifle and stopped at the gun shop and saw a poly stock Savage 111 on sale, that happened to be chambered in 30-06. Since it's also a good flexible round I grabbed it.
If I were to do it again and plan it out, I'd probably have opted for a short-action cartridge, but for now the '06 works fine.
